Akshay Kumar’s Baby has collected Rs 50 crore in its first extended weekend at the box office. The film started slow on Friday, but showed decent growth in business on both Saturday and Sunday. Monday was a holiday for Republic Day and the film held steady, even though the night shows showed normal drops – as the following day (today) is a working day.
Baby still has a long way to go before it can recover costs and today will be crucial for the film. The good news is, the Neeraj Pandey film is steady at multiplexes today (Tuesday), what with some centres sustaining occupancy of around the same level as Friday. However, ticket prices are down to weekday prices today, which will affect the collections of the film as a huge percentage of business is coming from multiplexes.
If Baby manages to collect somewhere around the 5 crore range, the film could eventually recover its costs as there is no major multiplex release this weekend.
Overall, the extended weekend collections of Baby should have ideally been in the 55-60 crore range, but given the poor start on Friday, it has done well to collect Rs 50 crore.

Baby is a nice film! But I don’t feel it’s a great Film for which I will give more than 4 stars!

I have few good female friends and among them i guess only 1-2 are there who love good cinema.
whatever will be collection, i like movie and all critics as well

@ all the akshay kumar fans, it will hurt you because the reason why baby inspite of getting critical acclaim and rave reviews is still doing average business is because of the so called fake fans of akshay, it is astonishing that many of the people who boast of themselves as his fans have not watched baby in cinemas and are waiting to see that on you tube or illegal download, even if half of the 6 million people who watched the trailer had watched baby in cinemas it could have collected almost 60 crores by now, now i must admit there is a huge difference between aamir, salman, hritik, srk and ahshay fans, while the other watch their movies in cinemas most of akshay fans watch on you tube and illegal downloads, that is the truth, shame on you akshay fans

i know mass centres doesn’t perform well for these thrillers but still multiplexes could have been better. it was appealing enough to attract audiences of metros.. now lets see how tuesday sustains

the film is not working because of many factors…
1.its not easy to understand cos it travels far too many places..
2..wherever they go our indians kick ass..contrary to our behaviour
3.people sick of this terrorism formula with muslim names ..not convincing enough
4.indian agents do whatever they want in foreign countries

I am totally agree with mayanmar….akki should had released gabbar on 23 rd jan..babys lifetime business would be same if it had released in non holiday..thats why i think in business point of view akki hass dull IQ.
Hmmm interesting. I remember akki fans bashing SRK and HR after 4 days collection difference between BOI and Producers. Now Baby 4 day figure (BOI) = 40 cr and Producer = 50 crore; a whopping 10 crore difference in just 4 days! So are u all gona continue bashing SRK and HR or realise that BOI is ran by aamir as PK producer and BOI was same even BOI figure was higher in 2nd week. Its telling how for SRK, HR and now akki (and even Salman) BOI underreports but only for aamir it gives same figures or overreports. Interesting.

Indicine, can I know whoz dat guy behind @yash chopra ID. I had given 3.25 for K3 which is same as Baby. Different movies, Different criteria of reviewing! Even some strict critics have gvn good ratings to K3! Like RajeevMasand: 3/5, Anupama Chopra: 3.5/5, Sukanya Verma: 3/5, Rohit Khilnani: 3.5/5 ! At the same time Raja Sen: 1/5! Opinion differs!

Baby 4 day Collention Total : 40.53cores OFFICAL but I don’t know where is indicine and komal natah getting the figures from the OFFICAL is 40.53 cores. If film does s better TOM then it can be hit other wise avrg to flop
Im very happy that its a consecutive flop for akshay kumar after the shaukeens….!Just shows the quality of films he chooses and also fall from heights for neeraj pandey for giving us a mishmash of hollywood films and keeping the originality away…good lesson learnt the hard way..never take audience for granted..
today is a wednesday and today neeraj pandey will come to know the fate of his biggest folly
My predictions for movie Baby is going correct.
My life time collections for the movie is 85-90 crores range.
It is very difficult for the film now to collect 100 crores.
The verdict will be below average.
