One of the most awaited films of 2016, ‘Baahubali 2’, could be targeting a Christmas 2016 release. Industry insiders say, the film will go on floors in the 3rd week of December and shooting is expected to be wrapped up by July or August 2016.
The shoot of the film was delayed because of pre-production work. It was first scheduled to go on floors in September, but was later pushed to November and now December.
There are also reports that about 30% of the second part of the film, has already been shot. The rest will be filmed in a schedule that stretches for 6 months, starting in December and ending in July next year.
Meanwhile, actress Anushka Shetty, who plays the character of Maharani Devasena, is losing weight before she begins shooting for ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’
“I’m still required to lose about seven to eight kilos before I join the sets of Baahubali 2. We could’ve used prosthetics, but since we wanted it to look natural, I decided to gain weight without the aid of technology and make-up” she said.
A source close to the project add ”Since Bahubali Returns was planned simultaneously with the first Bahubali film, much of the war scenes and some other key sequences have already been shot. Now about 70 percent of the film remains to be shot with Anushka Shetty, Prabhas and Sathyaraj leading the cast this time”
The first ‘Baahubali’ film was the biggest grosser in the history of Telugu cinema and the Hindi version went on to collect more than Rs 110 crore.

Although Baahubali released 1 week before BB, BB still got around 4200 screens pan India.
BB still collected 320 crores with good WOM and star backing.
It doesn’t matter if Baahubali releases with or before Dangal. Dangal will still get around 4500-4600 screens pan India. And if WOM is similar to BB and PK, then RIP all records.
Those crying RIP Dangal don’t know what a classic film Dangal will be. Industry insiders have already termed it a classic like Lagaa ln that too with a social message about women and girl child empowerment.
Keep dreaming, haters. Aamir will surely create 350 cr. club if not the 400 cr club next year.
Obviously aamir lost many indians faith on him but i don’t think dangal is responsable for that so Waiting for both movies.

If Bajrangi Bhaijaan could’nt stop Bahubali from becoming an ATBB,then even Dangal won’t be able to do that.And this time they even have the sequel factor working for them.Many were not aware what Bahubali was all about when it released but now things have changed.So Bahubali 2 will get huge opening for sure.

Bahubali can only dent the chance of Dangal huge success (if the film gas universal acceptance content) like HGOAT, But I know nothing can stop Dangal at Box office to rule.

Bahubali : The Conclusion cannot be underestimated at any cost . Bahubali did 113 CR in Hindi Version which is the 4th Highest this year after BB, PRDP and TWMR . Bahubali released one week before BB and still did huge business in India and Overseas . A movie like Bahubali : The Conclusion definitely deserves a Holiday release and Christmas is the only Holiday which can be utilised . Bahubali got huge appreciation on social media and even after 5 months people are asking the same question why Kattappa killed Bahubali ? If this clash happens then everyone will have a challenge next year .
