Baaghi has recorded the 3rd highest first Monday of 2016, lower than the year’s highest grossers ‘Airlift’ and ‘The Jungle Book’. But the film is higher than a major release like Shah Rukh Khan’s FAN, Sidharth-Alia’s Kapoor & Sons and Sonam Kapoor’s Neerja.
The trend is excellent for a film like Baaghi and the film has now gained momentum even at multiplexes – where it did not open well on Friday.

The Jungle Book set an ALL TIME RECORD for the fourth weekend with 10 crore nett apprx as it beat the fourth weekend business of 3 Idiots which was 9.50 crore nett apprx. Shockingly its not even an Hindi film and is set a record which will stick for some time. When records fall from fourth week onwards its serious stuff. The apprx business of the film till date has been as follows.
Week One – 74.25 crore
Week Two – 48.25 crore
Week Three – 30.50 crore
Weekend Four – 10.00 crore
TOTAL – 164.75 crore
The fourth week record of 3 Idiots may be a bit more difficult as the pattern of business has changed since 2009 with the weekend taking a larger share of the pie than the weekdays for the whole week.

Disappointed and shocked with many ppl targetting Shah rukh. Such was said about Ranbir some years ago…so? Yes congrats to Tiger…superb collection but this a massy and full casted youth movie with what Indian audiences missed out for a while.. a masala with average script and high class action with 2 promising already popular youths.

About Tiger Shroff: I liked his look, more muscular than the way he looked in Heropanti. Tiger’s facial expression was so good in serious moments and action scenes, but he doesn’t know how to be funny and sometimes he smiles and laughs unnecessarily.. I think he should work harder in future and not to try to be funny at all, he looks nice when he is serious or sad.. like Hrithik Roshan.. my daughter always says: Hrithik doesn’t now how to be funny

SRK himself has surrendered his ‘super’stardom to Lallu and Midgit today bue postponing RAEES.
This is more shocking than anything else. RAEES was perfectly shaping up for EID release. Teaser out a yr ago. Trailer should’ve been out month from now in June with HOUSEFUL 3 film. with July 3rd release.
Now RAEES is a sure shot ultra FLOP of January 2017. FAN was experimental ‘niche’ film. RAEES is masala flop. This has officially ended SRKs superstardom.
There is one thing collecting only 85 crore with dark ‘experimental’ ‘niche’ based thriller and another thing giving out full masala FLOP with postponement by a year!
This is unheard of. SRK also chickened out like darpook bhagoda. Take a good opening with SULTAN on EID and collect a solid 24 crores on opening day. In longer run, RAEES wins because of songs, masala, item vs SULTAN’s wrestling only movie.
Never surrender to your friends like YRF and ADI if they are not reciprocating to you. Adi wrecked SRKs career with FAN. But ADI not even letting EID day go for RAEES and open SULTAN on Friday.
