The film needed to collect around 45-50 crore to be a decent grosser, but looking at the trends, Azhar will finish with lifetime business of around 35 crore – which falls in the category of ‘very poor’ for medium budget films in today’s times.
Azhar is likely to be the 10th highest grosser of Emraan Hashmi’s career, but the final total of Azhar will be lower than films like ‘Hamari Adhuri Kahaani’ (37 crore), Ghanchakkar (39 crore), Murder 2 (51 crore) and others.
His highest career grossers are ‘The Dirty Picture’ (82 crore) and ‘Raaz 3’ (74 crore).

Azhar is a superb film!!!!!! The movie will collect above than 40 crore cause first week – 29 crore , second week – 36 crore , third week – 40 crore and fourth and fifth week will boost the collections and Azhar will do 40+. Azhar is a comeback for Emraan Hashmi and Raaz4 will do 100 crores at box office because it is remake of Hollywood film ‘ The Omen ‘.
@Raj, you don’t know why Mr. X and Creature3D was flop cause it was a small budget film and was also horror film which bloody Indians don’t want to watch horror movies that’s why other horror films like 1920, Haunted, Raaz3, Shaapit, 1920 Evil Returns , 1920 London. All these films were flop at box office but we’re great movies. Vikram Bhatt is a great director. Only Mr. X was his only bad film. Raaz4 will cross 100 crore which is releasing on 3rd June and House full 3 will flop.
