Actor Paresh Rawal feels there is a huge dearth to writers in the Hindi film industry.
“There is a huge dearth of writers in Bollywood but one good thing is that at least we have stopped stealing films from Hollywood,” Paresh told IANS.
“After many cases now we have started working a bit in writing, earlier many of them used to get the DVD’s and say we want to do this film and at least that has changed. Many good writers are coming. Things are going to change but again it’s a virtue out of helplessness,” he added.
However, the veteran actor is all praises for new actors.
“The new breed of actors is very hard working and very knowledgeable. They know what they are doing. Rajeev Khandelwal and Ranbir Kapoor, I think, are terrific,” the 62-year-old said.
Paresh is gearing for the release of new film “Table No 21” that features Rajeev Khandelwal and Tena Desae. It is due to release Jan 4.

Yes paresh ji there is a real dearth of good script writers in bollywood and a good script for every genre is much more difficult to get. That’s why salman khan who favours the masala/action/comedy entertainer type genres is looking at the tried & tested formulaic south indian scripts. Aamir always tries to do something fresh & new but its unfortunate that we cant use the services of such an actor par excellence because of the lack of good scripts for different genres. Hrithik too is some what similar to aamir but in my opinion he is more suited for commercial cinema, as apart from being a good looking talented actor, he is the best dancer in bollywood and his charm,persona,aura can make him next salman khan. Akshay is a real talent, king of comedy & action but his choice of scripts is really poor. He needs to cut down on his movies-a-year thing and choose better scripts that can support his talent. Srk atleast used to have a better script choice earlier but these days his script selection is as bad as akki and more so because he is willing to come out of his comfort zone i.e romantic & family genre and try other genres as he feels he is too old to play the chocolatey romantic roles anymore. So he needs to choose better scripts. Ranbir is perhaps that rare young actor who has the looks, talent,determination and more importantly wisdom in selecting his scripts. But its for him to choose, whether he wants to associate himself with commercial cinema or the off-beat artistic type movies and i personally feel he is more suited to non-commercial cinema (atleast that’s the impression he has given us so far) but dont know what would be his future ideas..
After seeing boring JTHJ, i had to use Zandu Balm, so with the rest of audience in India. After seeing D2, I am finally entertained.
The combined power of YRF, SRK, Gulzaar, AR Rehman, could not salvage the product, rejected by Indian audience. Beside, Ra.One, it is like RAVAN. Don 2, most boring film ever copied from 20 foreign films.

Those who talking some scenes of D2 then they should know that the rights for these scenes are brought by Arbaaz from film Gabbar Singh which is remake of Dabangg for more check it on wiki.

guys, there is a difference between directly copying scene to scene and getting inspired by an idea and making a film.
what paresh is telling is not related to salman, srk or any other heroes.
he is saying that producers / directors used to get foreign movies and wanted to copy scene to scene, that is what has stopped.
why are you guys blaming srk and salman? at the end of the day, they are actors and they can’t just sit around and wait for the original story etc., Everyone cannot be aamir, and aamir cannot please all the audience, so we need srk and salman movies, and people don’t care if a scene is inspired from other films.
