Last week witnessed the debut of Arjun Kapoor in Yashraj Films’ Ishaqzaade. The film opened well at the box-office on Friday and continued it’s good run over the weekend.
Like every movie release, the big test was on Monday and Ishaqzaade has remained rock steady.
Ishaqzaade Box Office Collections (Day-wise breakdown)
- Friday – 4.55 crores
- Saturday – 5.15 crores
- Sunday – 6.20 crores
- Weekend – 15.9 crores
- Monday – 3 crores (approx)
- Tuesday – 2.5 crores (approx)
- Total so far in 5 days – 21.4 crores (approx)
Despite competition from Department this week, we expect Ishaqzaade to continue it’s good run till the release of Rowdy Rathore on June 1st.
Arjun Kapoor joins the list of few actors in the last decade, to deliver a HIT on debut. As for talented Parineeti Chopra, she walked away with all the appreciation and awards with her debut film Ladies vs Ricky Bahl. Now with the success of Ishaqzaade, she has established herself in the industry. Critical acclaim and Filmfare trophies are all good, but there is nothing quite like a box-office hit!
We know it’s too early, but is Parineeti Chopra the next Rani Mukherji?

Parineeti seems to be talented. But doesn’t seem to be as gorgeous as Rani. I still prefer Rani. Unfortunately she doesn’t get good offers from good directors;I don’t know why. But she is a mufti-talented stunning lady.
