Are you sure its safe?

Saif has recoverd from his long ill-ness. Back to the set, he feels nervous about performing some stunts. Looks like Saif is scared of heights.

Even after being around for two decades in the film industry, Saif Ali Khan had a tough time performing a daredevil scene for Abbas Mustan’s Race. Action director Allan Amin had to work hard to convince Saif to do a stunt scene. He was asked to jump from the 24th floor of a highrise building and he was nervous about the stunt.

According to our source, “Saif had heard from Hrithik Roshan that cables are not safe enough and accidents can occur any moment. He insisted that Allan perform the stunt first and only then would he do it.”

Allan says, “Saif wanted me to perform the stunt before he would go ahead and do it himself. I knew that cables were not too safe for such a stunt, where he was required to jump from the 24th floor of a building and land on the roof of moving car. I ordered Dynex, which is a kind of soft rope stronger than cable. I didn’t want to digitally re-master the scene, which is why I wanted Saif to jump from the building.”

Incidentally, only after Allan showed Saif the stunt he was assured of his safety. “In fact Saif loved the stunt so much that once he got the hang of it, he actually performed it five times instead of once,” says Allan.
