Anushka Sharma’s character in “Jab Tak Hai Jaan” (JTHJ) has finally been revealed – she plays Akira, a documentary filmmaker, and sets out to chronicle the life of Shahrukh Khan in the film.
Akira is an employee of Discovery Channel, and she wants to make a documentary on army officer Samar (played by SRK). The audience will discover the entire story of JTHJ through Akira’s eyes.
“We are honoured to have associated with one of India’s foremost film stalwarts – the late Yash Chopra,” Rahul Johri, senior vice president and general manager – South Asia, Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific, said in a statement.
A Yash Raj Films (YRF) official is also hopeful this integration will work in favour of both – the movie as well as the channel.
“We wanted to associate with the leading non-fiction channel and we are happy to partner with the world renowned Discovery Channel. We are certain that viewers will enjoy Anushka’s refreshing character as a Discovery Channel employee,” said Ashish Patil, vice president, YRF.
Jab Tak Hai Jaan also stars Katrina Kaif and is slated for theatrical release on November 13th.

iF Distributors will follow YRF rules then TOday JTHJ would have been released in 3300screens..
but distributors did’nt follow YRF cnditions……….so they are allowing 1000screens less than 3300…
and by the way distributors are giving 2400screen to jthj bcoz they also know that SRK can pull huge crowd unlike Ajay…..

i am a SRK fan, but today don’t expect from SRK much. he is not serious about films. he is only serious about money & his family. he doesn’t concentrate on scripts. he wants to earn money today in easier way. he left films like lagaan & 3idiots. jthj’s songs are not good as we expected. in love story films songs are vital. so i don’t think jthj will work. today SRK always makes us disappointed. so fans don’t get crazy about him. he is not a fan-lover.
