Anurag Kashyap, the talented director of movies like Dev D, Black friday is well known for his ‘different’ films. However, the filmmaker agrees that he is incapable of directing film like ‘Rowdy Rathore’ or ‘Dabangg’, which was directed by his brother Abhinav Kashyap.
“I can’t make a Rowdy Rathore. If I make a Rowdy Rathore, it will be a flop. It has to be made with a conviction. Prabhu Deva had a conviction. He believes in what he is doing. You need to believe in what you are doing. The day I start internally believing in a film, which is in the mainstream zone, I will make it” said Anurag at a press conference here.
Kashyap also said that as a filmmaker, he never feels sad when mainstream films do well, as the same money goes into promoting and producing smaller films.
Good directors can’t do sutpid films like R. Rathore.. he can’t say that it’s a silly film, but he gave another excuse! haha.. I am just feeling petty for SLB, as he’s a very good director doing some special films in the past.. I think SLB has gone crazy coz his (good) films flopped, so he decided to produce a masala cartoon film like this one!!!
His flops films, Saawariya, Guzarish, and maybe Black too ( I heard it didn’t do v well in India) could never be compared with Dabang, Singham, R Rhatore, Ready.. all these stupid films.. Dabaang maybe is the best among all those cheap films
