Teji Bachchan, wife of well-known poet Dr. Harivansh Rai Bachchan and mother of bollywood megastar actor Amitab Bachchan, passed away early today as her ailing body could take no more treatment. Accroding to reports, 93-year-old Teji Bachchan died at the Leelawati Hospital in Mumbai. The cadaver of Teji will be kept at Amitabh Bachchan’s bungalow, ‘Pratiksha’, for the last ‘darshan’.
It’s brought to your notice that Teji Bachchan was an accomplished singer and stage performer in her early days and acted in Shakeapeare’s plays translated by her husband.
