On Thursday, Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan will carry the Olympic torch in London, one day before the opening ceremony of the games on Friday.
Honored by the gesture from the London Olympic Organizing Committee, Bachchan tweeted “OK !! HERE IT IS : Have been invited by London Olympic Organizing Committee to carry the torch in the relay tomorrow.”
He soon added “Honored to be asked to carry the Olympic Torch in London at Southwark around 10:30 AM!! (tomorrow) A proud moment for me and country!”
Actor Ritesh Deshmukh and director Karan Johar were quick to congratulate him.
Ritesh tweeted “Sir every Indian will feel as if he is holding the torch n running”
Karan Johar “thats so amazing amit uncle!! You truly represent the spirit and pride of our country!!”
