Hera Pheri which released way back in 2000 directed Priyadarshan didn’t do too well at the box office, when it released. But later after the DVD release, the comedy turned into a cult classic with a huge fan following.
Post the stupendous success of the Neeraj Vora directed sequel Phir Hera Pheri, the title is now a brand and to cash in on the love of the audience towards the characters and the film, producer Firoz Nadiadwala will be taking the series forward with Hera Pheri 4.
Apart from Baburao Ganpatrao Apte (Paresh Rawal), Raju (Akshay Kumar) and Shyam (Suniel Shetty).. Hera Pheri 4 will have a fourth important character and there are rumors that the makers are in talks with none other than Amitabh Bachchan for the role.
Director Anees Bazmee who has been roped in to direct Hera Pheri 4 says, “I am writing the script with Amitabh Bachchan in mind. Nothing has been finalized yet”
Katrina Kaif will be playing the female lead in Hera Pheri 4, which is expected to release during the fall of 2011.
Would Bachchan be a good addition to those legendary characters? What do you think?
