While the contestants on Bigg Boss will be struggling in the household for more than 2 months to win about a crore in cash, Amitabh Bachchan who has been roped in as the host of the 3rd season will be paid Rs 1.5 crores per episode. You read that right, approximately Rs 15,000,000 for each and every episode of Bigg Boss 3.
Bachchan will be hosting 84 episodes in total and would be taking home a pay check of no less than 126 crores for the entire season.
Bachchan is now, officially, the highest paid anchor on Indian television.

You got it wrong, he is not doing 84 episodes. He will be doing one episode per week(Vote Out Episode). so he may be doing 12 episodes or may be 13. So he will be paid 18-20 crores. Pls check whether he is doing 84 episodes or 13 episodes??

Yashpal, we published the news that was being circulated. We contacted the team behind Bigg Boss 3.. According to them Amitabh will be hosting 2 shows a week, plus a few extras. That would be around 24 episodes+ hosted by Bachchan.. 84 will be the total number of episodes in Season 3..
According to some other source – Bachchan’s fee has been hiked to 2.5 crores. Nothing confirmed officially, nor will it ever be. This is just some leaked info, so do take it with a pinch of salt :)
Official Bigg Boss 3 blog says “Amitabh Bachhan is officially declared the host of Big Boss Season 3. It is said that Amitabh Bhachhan will get Rs.2.5 crore per episode.”

If he is being paid 1.5 or 2.5 crore per episode it doesn’t mean 126 crore as he does not appear on every episode only on saturdays or sundays.
Mr. Bachchan is a legend, most of the contestants even have not lived as many days on this PLANET as Mr. Bachchan has spent in the film industary, so please do not compare Mr. Bachchan with those 13 contestants in context of the remuneration or reward whatever that is. And yes i agree that 126 crores is a huge sum of amount that Mr. Bachchan would be getting by hosting the show that is what you are telling. but if he gets Rs. 2.5 crores per episide than its not a big issue. Mr. Bachchan has already received a sum of Rs. 1.5 crores per episode for the show KAUN BANEGA CRORE PATI 2.
if he has receiving rs.126 crores i think its not exciting bcoz big b has the real talent he is the only bollywood actor who can dance & act at this stage also. the program sponsors are not the fools to spend the huge amount on every one. they may saw the talent of great big b then only they agreed to pay. what you say guys
