Talking to Times of India, Ajay Devgn has once again confirmed that Son of Sardar will release this Diwali. He’s also confident that his film will work at the box-office and the exhibitors are ‘sensible enough’ to decide which film will release where.

On Yashraj Films pre-booking 70% of the screens, Ajay says
The picture is already clear. Everything will be balanced. There is no other way. The exhibitors are sensible enough to decide which film to release where. They know how to balance things out. They can’t let their business suffer. I just hope my film works. Actually, I am confident about it.
On his strategy this Diwali
The attempt is to make a good film. If a good film releases, it will work. If both films are good, they will fare well. I am not competing with anybody. I don’t want to.

When Rohit Shetty met SRK, I was the first one to know. I asked him to go ahead and make the film. Rohit has grown with me, so it makes me feel nice
most of the srk fan forgeting ashoka and ra.one which are biggest disasters in the history of indian cinema also released on diwali.

@SrkFaltuFans ashoka & indian both released in diwali 2001. srk’s ashoka was a disaster while sunny deol’s indian was a hit. and history is going to repeat itself after 11 years. this time ajay’s SOS will be Blockbuster while srk’s movie will be a flop

so diwali period belongs to ajay now. it did belong to srk in the 90s but NOT now.

After all this its total collection was 110 crs.
Think what will happen with 50:50 screens & same day release.

I think inspite of Ajay, SRK should postpone his movie. The reason being Ajay is not the one SRK is competing with, its Salman & Aamir. Even if he loses 15-20cr. due to SOS, he will not be able to have collections like aamir & Salman’s upcoming films.
Yeshraj are using Ekthatiger buzz as their trumcard . They are making the theater owners releasing ekthatiger to release SRK’s next. Multiplexes will adjust both films but singlescreens will have tough time to decide which film to screen. But I am damn sure SOS will be bigger than SRK’s nxt.. but goodluck to yeshji
