All Is Well, Manjhi Box Office Opening

All Is Well, Abhishek Bachchan’s first solo film in 5 years, has taken a very poor start at the domestic box office. The all-India average occupancy in the morning was 10-15%. At smaller cities, the opening was poorer at around the 5-10% range.

The music had gained popularity in the last few weeks. Also, the goodwill of Umesh Shukla’s last film ‘OMG! Oh My God’ was expected to ensure a decent opening at the box office. Unfortunately, the film will now depend on word-of-mouth publicity and the early reports from theatres range from mixed to negative.

The other release this week, Manjhi: The Mountain Man, was also expected to take a decent start due to Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s presence. The opening, though, is poor all over. However, the reports are good, so the film is expected to perform well on Saturday and Sunday.

Last week’s release Brothers has come crashing down on its 2nd Friday. The film will finish with net box office collections of around 85-90 crore.

Drishyam and Bajrangi Bhaijaan are still running on limited numbers of shows, and both films are steady.

  • @Ultron a salmaniac Dude PRDP is also being distributed by fox star studio like brothers and Fox walo ki sari movies flop ja rahi hai MNIK ke baad se aur muze puri umeed hai ki PRDP bhi flop jaegi.

  • @komal nahi nahata
when i saw your name in text i was loughing at list one minute …l comal nahat (etc) judge sory

  • Its really funny and sad at the same time. Wtf, stupid indian audience ignoring brilliant actors like nawaz and irrfan and they are choosing instead non actors salman, varun or sid. Look at cooment of marshall, he accepts that nawaz is great actor but he will watch sallus movie even if he cant act. This shit happens only in india, in hollywood people choose script and acting over so called stars

  • Don’t bash @boycott Critics he is talking about PRDP weekend collection and Rohitwalle worldwide collection.

  • @hendalf, I’ve already watched Manjhi in theatre on the first day itself. I watch movies irrespective of who the star is if the trailer is impressive. Having said that, I don’t miss Salman, Akki and Ajay films.Trailer is irrelevant for them cause I like them. Why the heck are you judging me? It’s my choice what I watch.Great actors aren’t necessarily stars be it Hollywood or Bollywood.

  • Marshall, personally I dont care at all about srk and salman shitty stardom, it is not indicator for me to watch there films, out of more than 70 movies, I only liked srk’s acting in devdas and cdi and sallu’s in tere naam and bb. But I liked all acting scenes of nawaz and irrfan, hence I anytime prefer there movies over such called “megasuperstars”. Again I repeat only in india can be called actors like non actors srk and sallu while brilliant actors like nawaz and irrfan r underestimated, proud of you indian audience, you really dont deserve these actors

  • @hendalf, it’s your personal choice. People have different tastes.i prefer entertaining movies.for knowledge I read books.its a bonus if a film offers both entertainment and knowledge like 3 idiots. its not only in india, even in Hollywood action extravaganza like Avengers, Ff7, Jurassic world earns more than a Shawshank Redemption.
