On her 23rd birthday, Alia Bhatt spoke about her upcoming film with Shah Rukh Khan. The actress said she signed the film because she loved director Gauri Shinde’s previous film ‘English Vinglish’ which featured Sridevi in the lead.
Alia also said the story of the untitled film hasn’t previously been told before.
“It’s a dream come true to be working with Shah Rukh Khan. Also, I loved Gauri’s English Vinglish. I get along with her beautifully. She gets my vibe, I get hers. It doesn’t take us too much time to figure out things. Also, it’s a story that’s not been told”
On working with SRK, Alia said “What worked for me was hosting the Filmfare Award segment with SRK. We broke the ice there. And hosting is not a joke, it’s tiresome. You have to improvise; you have to feed off each other’s energy. And he’s so supportive. He’s constantly there for you, for the scene, for the character, for the actors. And he’s so bright. More than feeling intimidated, I feel grateful that I’m getting to work with him. I don’t want to waste time getting intimidated. I want to spend that time observing and sucking in everything I can”
Alia awaits the release of ‘Kapoor & Sons’ this week.
