Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, who will be seen in the upcoming film ‘Airlift’, which is a film based on evacuations in 1990, says he was honoured to meet former army chief Vijay Kumar Singh who played a key role in the evacuation of Indians from Yemen last year.
Akshay, who is currently on a multi-city tour to promote his forthcoming film, tweeted a photograph of himself shaking hands with Singh, now the Minister of State for External Affairs.
“Honoured to meet Gen. Vijay Kumar Singh, the key man behind rescue mission Operation Raahat during the Yemen Crisis,” Akshay posted.
V.K. Singh, who is also minister of state for external affairs in the current government, is known for leading Operation Raahat, a rescue mission to evacuate Indian citizens and other foreign nationals from Yemen during 2015 Yemeni crisis.
I am 300% sure that Airlift will b a superb film and my intuitions never fail. I can’t say anything about the BO but I m very confident that I will love the film.

airlift get phenominal promotion at kerala,that has never seen before for any akshay filim.malayalam posters about the filim coverd cities like a malayam filim.news channels give importance to this filim.
hope filim get good opening in kerala too.
My feeling is that airlift would be even better than baby.. eagerly waiting.. akki deserves at least a superhit if not blockbuster.. where are you akshay fans? Lets make this movie a big hit..

In India only 3 khan’s movie do more than 100 or 150 cr. Don’t expect it from Akshay. But people can watch clean movie with family.
Akshay has wonderful talent and even he completed 25 years in Hindi cinema …..without working with big banner. My vote always with Akshay and Ajay Devgan. And salute to the Akshay for doing such kind of movie….like Baby….which is called Briliant Cinema
