Akshay Kumar 2017 Movie Releases

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has a massive line-up of films in 2017 and the actor is already looking forward to a great year ahead.

On the first day of a new year, the actor tweeted “Busy summing up the year gone by? It’s time to not look back, but look ahead. Here’s what my 2017 looks like. Your thoughts, love and luck needed”

Akshay’s first release of 2017 will be ‘Jolly LLB 2’, directed by Subhash Kapoor. The film releases in theatres on February 10.

His second release will be ‘Toilet – Ek Prem Katha’, which is based on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swwach Bharat Abhiyaan. Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, the film releases in theatres on June 2.

Akshay’s third film will be his biggest of the year – a film starring superstar Rajnikanth in the lead. Titled ‘2.0’, the sci-fi film is expected to set records when it releases during Diwali this year.

His last film of the year will be ‘Pad Man’, a film that’s said to be a biopic on Arunachalam Muruganantham. It will chronicle his journey of finding a way to make cheap, affordable sanitary napkins for women in his village.

  • Another successful year of khiladi is right on the cornor… haters bark all you want… but all his 4 movies will be hits

  • Jolly LLB 2 —> 150+ cr. if gets appreciation it may go over 200 cr. and will become 1st ever non-holiday release to cross 200 cr. mark
    TEPK —> 120-150 cr.
2.0 —> 250+ cr.(hindi) and if the movie gets extraordinary wom anything may happen…400 cr. too only hindi version…
Padman —> 110-130 cr. if it releases early december and if it’s a x-mas release and gets appreciation 200 cr. clashing with TZH…Because it’s the best period…

  • He is a mini industry himself but very very far from Aamir and Salman. Let him first cross his own Rowdy Rathore without Rajnikanth then he will be come to league B (Hrithik & SRK). Currently Aamir and Salman are in league A. Akshay, Ranbir, Ranveer and Ajay are in league C. Varun leads league D.

  • @all folks talking about combined collection = one movie of salman and amir answer one question.
Tumhe kya voh collection mese paise milte hain kya , there’s no extra value u are getting u fools.
On the other hands AkKi gives us so rich diverse entrtainment and four times more value.
And even khan movies will collect the same as akki if they start coming 4 times a year any panchvi fail can tell that.

  • @Hrithik

As per your ‘league’ Hrithik should be in league D below Varun as Hrithik cannot do anything without a festive date or a sequel or a prequel or without an a list actor.

Bollywood is not about what you did, its about what you do!

A 60 crores landing movie like Rustom does 123 crores…. whereas your idol does a 150 crores budget movie to get 60 crores back and you call Hrithik a superstar above Akshay who just gave three solid hits without an eid diwali Christmas period where the business rises by 40%?

And as for box office beating others – tell your A league and B league actors to release three movies directed by raja krishnan menon, sajid farhad and tinu within a 8 month gap without eid diwali or christmas and try to reach 200 or 300 with atleast one of them – its impossible as you dont get the neutrals without festive dates.

So next time keep quiet – Akshay has achieved more in the past year than your next 10 generations will!

  • @jadoo boy “Hrithik”
    Without rajnikant LMFAO
So you accept Rajnikant>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Salman (even for Hindi audiences)
Chal bol accept karta hai ki nahi…

  • @jadoo boy ‘hrithik’
By the way pls tell why should we credit rajnikant for it’s Hindi version
    Kabali 25cr (flop)
    Linga disaster
    Robot 20cr (flop)
If 2.0 is released on 20th Oct instead of 19
Mark my words jadoo boy records in Hindi version will be shattered by miles

  • Also I would like know our greatest trade website @indicine opinion on 2.0 matter..
After what BOI wrote about Akshay and 2.0 @indicine views also changed drastically (that I knew) before that this trusted website use to clearly say that 2.0 is Akshay-Rajnikanth starrer ….!!!
Cmon @indicine pls tell us how ur views changed so drastically…!!!

  • @jadoo boy ‘hrithik’
Then by your logic salman should have been put in Z league during his golden period 2000-2010

  • My personal favorite film is TEPK because of our Best Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swwach Bharat Abhiyaan. We bhakts are eagerly waiting for the film . TEPK will get tax free Status in BJP ruling states . I dont think it will get tax free in secular parties states if it will release then only one word miracle. Housefull karenge . Namo Namo .

  • Now that some Brilliant Line Up……..Akki really improved himself in choosing script…..All 4 are looking good in paper and may turn out hits, which means 4 hits in 1 year……WOW now that is some record…..

  • what league a b c? akki is superstar by his own right,,, onl actor who doesnt need edx and hiked ticket prices and his stardom depends on footfalls and he has one of the biggest fan base in india.,,, only hero who has got fans putting garlands in his posters and only salman has it,,, so akki is always big star ,,, proud to be akkian

  • Now, this is called concentrated and definite efforts to renew and reinvent yourself.

We have two megastars Salman and Aamir currently in bollywood, so the best option is to take the route less travelled.

Akshay is just doing that and in the last 3-4 years he has established himself to be an director’s actor, and open to all sort of good films.

  • To all Makkhians, just one word STFU !!!! It was my opinion and I don’t impose that on all. If you don’t like it just ignore no need for any gyaan or lectures specially when idol is behind Kangana, Deepika, Ranbir & Ranveer. Tees Maar Khan released on Christmas we know what happened and not mention how OUATIMD was spoiled by Akki’s weak dialogue delivery, AJ in OUATIM was million times better than him.

  • For those wondering how Akshay manages to finish four films in 365 days, the star himself had explained the maths behind it in an interview with a leading daily a couple of years back. The breakdown looks like this:

Total number of Akshay Kumar’s film per year – 4

Number of days given to each film – 60

Total number of days needed for four films – 240

This leaves Akshay with a total of 125 free days per year. The actor takes Sundays off which makes it 52 Sundays in all. He takes one week off after finishing every film which makes it a total of 21 days for three films. He takes an annual holiday consisting 45 days. That makes it a total of 118 days when he is not working. Add 240 to 118 and you get 358. The remaining seven days is what he uses to shoot brand endorsements. To be successful in following this schedule, Akshay operates every day with clockwork precision. The actor wakes up at 4 am and by 10 am he is done with half his day’s work. The actor sleeps early and doesn’t believe in late-night parties.

Now that’s what we call meticulous planning.

  • @Hrithik

STFU has four words not one!

Couldn’t come back with anything better? Started to go personal? Sign of losing an argument or should I say losing a silly league theory of yours!

Now remember what happened on Independence Day and also witness how badly your idols movie is gonna get whitewashed on Republic day – after that please do come back with another league theory!

I got four words for you – STFU!
