Akshay Kumar and Himesh Reshammiya launched the trailer of Khiladi 786 yesterday afternoon at 2PM.
Talking about the stunts in the film, Akshay said “I have always done my stunt scenes on my own. I never allow anybody to do my stunts. The day I will not be able to do so, I will stop working in action films. I promise you.”
When asked if the film is a remake of some south Indian masala film, the actor denied it “No, this film is not a remake of any South film. It’s an original story”
He also thanked his directors Abbas-Mastan for the first Khiladi film “When I first entered the industry, they were the ones who gave me this tag ‘Khiladi’. It is with me since then. After that, many films were made on ‘khiladi’ and this (Khiladi 786) is a ‘khiladi’ film I am doing after 12 years. So you can call this is a comeback of khiladi”

functions, they want to see stars on
stage. And the stars will not come
unless they are getting an award. The
event organisers have to sell the function to TV channels, and channels
will not give a lot of money for a
show unless stars are present, on the
stage, and in the audience. There you
go! Now the value is of the show —
not of the awards, which have lost their
sheen. Shekhar Kapur made that
reality clear to me 10 years back,
when somebody said Manoj has won
X award. He broke my heart by saying,
right now you’re being talked about, so it was essential for them to send
you on stage. That’s about it.
