Akira Box Office Collections in 5 days

The domestic business of A.R. Murugadoss’ Akira witnessed a drop on its 5th day at the box office. The film has collected Rs 2.4 crore on Tuesday, to take its net box office collections to 22.45 crore.

The first week business will be around the 26 crore mark, so the fate of the film depends on how well it holds on its 2nd Friday.

If Akira flops, it’ll be the first Hindi failure for A.R. Murugadoss who has previously directed films like ‘Ghajini’ and ‘Holiday: A Solider Is Never Off Duty’. Akira was also Sonakshi Sinha’s comeback of sorts, as she was returning for the first time since the ‘Tevar’ debacle in January 2014.
