Now that the big clash between ‘Sultan’ and ‘Raees’ has been averted, 2016, which was previously touted as the year of clashes, has two more big ones.
Hrithik Roshan’s Mohenjo Daro will release on the same day as Akshay Kumar’s Rustom. Ajay Devgn’s super-ambitious Shivaay will also take on Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil during the Diwali weekend.
Talking about the clash, Devgn has said he doesn’t take clashes seriously and all his effort will go into giving his film the best possible release.
“I don’t consider it to be a clash and I don’t take such clashes seriously. Son of Sardaar has proved that. I think everybody has the right to release it whenever they want and you just have to work harder on your film. Whichever is the better film will work more at the box office”
The actor also said that it does upset him sometimes because he was the one who announced ‘Shivaay’ for Diwali, but added that he understands the business point-of-view of the other producer
“Yes and no. Yes, because it’s a close-knit industry and whatever issues we have with each other we should sort it out amongst ourselves and not harm each other’s work. And no, everybody wants a great release date so everybody has the right to choose any date for their film. It’s a balance of both, I would say”
“If I take it personally, it will upset me but if I look at it from a business point of view, then I would say it’s fair enough. You feel the person shouldn’t have done it, but you accept it because he must have his reasons”
Asked if he would meet producer Karan Johar and discuss the dates of his films, Ajay said “I would not discuss with Karan. I have announced my release date earlier than him so I will just go ahead and release it in the best way possible. I will not even bother about what is coming with me or what is not coming with me”

Before bajirao he gave 2 flops nd one average but On festival time he made it big because of a Loved film .
Nd other examples are SOS & All the best.
Blue took earth shattering start on day one nd more then double times opening to ALL THE BEST but blue was not a good entertaining film nd ATB Was so it became hit .
Even JTHJ Took 5 crore bigger opening then SOS but in the end SOS did better .

Raees has gangster storyline of Abdul Latif, and Pakistani actress. For both these reasons, people are going to thrash it left and right. They will trend “Pakistani actress” and “glorification of terrorist Abdul Latif” everywhere and call for boycott.
People going to theaters will have Ajay and Hrithik as options.
And the final nail in the coffin is that it is releasing on Republic day, when Patriotic feeling is high in people and the protests against Srk will make them to ignore the film and go for Badshaho/Kabul instead.
Raees will around 80-100 cr, if all 3 films release on the same day.

@indicine please answer this, we saw stars giving flops early, it’s not a big deal. But for Srk the case is very different it all starts with Happy New Year he lost his trust to general audience but collections is huge so no one gives a damn that time.
Next is his intolerance statement one can argue its taken out of context but he develope natural heat for it for his statement and it’s not one or two day deal like salman statement about Afzal guru, his statement got stuck with majority of people in India,and after this he become more of an anti-national in the eyes of people.
Dilwale lost box office battle to Bajirao Mastani, even if Bajirao is a better movie than Dilwale but it creates a general perception that even KHAN can beaten at box-office and it’s him who lost the battle.
Now for Fan, he again dragged his intolerance controversy in the time of promotion and for a star who lost his trust to general audience and release it on normal day did more harm to overall collection for Fan.
And with backing out from clash with sultan, he lost his fanbase trust. I don’t hate him now but i actually don’t care about his next release at all.
My question for you is Can SRK comeback strongly now or it’s a done deal from his super stardom?
