Talking to reporters for the first time on his Diwali clash with Shahrukh Khan’s untitled next with Yash Chopra, Ajay Devgan said Diwali has been lucky for him with 3 hits. He also added that Son of Sardar is a perfect festive film with comedy, romance and action.
Diwali’s been lucky for me with films like Golmaal Returns, All The Best and Golmaal 3. Rascals, that released last Dussera, had a vulgar streak, I’ll never do a film like that again.
I don’t know about their (Yashraj Films’) film, but Son of Sardar is a comic love story with lots of action, a perfect festival film.
Directed by Ashwani Dhir, Son of Sardar is scheduled for release on November 13th 2012.

Eid 2013: Salman Khan will be back as Prem in a Rajshri film
Salman Khan has always been the blue eyed boy of Rajshri Productions and the buzz is Salman and Sooraj Barjatya are coming together again and planning a big release for Eid next year.
Well, no prizes for guessing that Salman will resurrect his screen character Prem yet again — the archetypical good boy, with sound moral values and a heart of gold, which appears as the male lead in most Rajshri films.
The name ‘Prem’ has been synonymous with Salman. Be it Maine Pyar Kiya or Hum Saath Saath Hai, no matter which character he is playing, if it’s a Sooraj Barjatya film its imperative for his character to be called Prem.
The title of the film is Bade Bhaiyya, and Salman will be playing the titular role. This is Salman’s first film with Sooraj after the 1999 release Hum Saath-Saath Hain.
A source told CNN IBN that “Initially, Sooraj’s film was to start in February next year. But now, Salman is so enthusiastic about the script and working again with his director buddy that he has decided to prepone it to this November.”
However, Salman wants to be done with the shooting by next March so that they have ample time for post-production and consequently, aggressive promotion to release it on Eid next 2013
Akki ropes in Salman for Oh My God
The recently culminated IPL series witnessed action star Akshay Kumar partying with the Kolkota Knight Riders co-owner Shah Rukh Khan. However, despite the shared revelry with SRK’s IPL win and Akki’s film release, we hear that Akshay is also busy working with SRK’s friend-turned-foe Salman Khan.
News is that Akshay has got Salman on board to do a voice over for the concept promos of his next film Oh My God that will be release with Rowdy Rathore.
The said Oh My God promos will be the first of its kind, which will introduce the idea of a concept driven teaser based on the main story of the film and establish the character of its protagonist Kanjhibhai.
Oh My God, which is directed by Umesh Shukla, stars Akshay, Paresh Rawal and Mithun Chakraborty.

Arjun Kapoor to play Salman’s bro in Barjatya’s next?
So the latest news that has arrived from the Rajshri Productions camp is that Arjun Kapoor will play the part of Salman Khan’s younger brother in Sooraj Barjatya’s next flick supposedly titled ‘Bade Bhaiya’.
While Sallu would get to play the elder lead, it is Arjun, the new kid on the block, who will play the parallel part in the family drama which is expected to release on Eid next year.
It has been learnt from a source that after watching ‘Ishaqzaade’, Sooraj Barjatya was bowled over with Arjun’s performance. He immediately met him and offered him the role.
The story is said to be about two siblings. The elder one is more groomed and calm while the younger brother is more of a rebel. The story depicts how the elder brother takes charge of his younger sibling to turn him into a matured person by taking him under his wings.
Interestingly, Arjun has claimed Salman Khan as his mentor even in real life. It was Salman who held his trust in Arjun’s acting prowess and pushed him to lose excess kilos he had piled on over the years.
No doubt, the deadly combo of macho Salman and hottie Arjun will draw crowds in scores to the theatres. We hope that the movie enthralls the audiences and sets new records like never before!
