While most of the top celebrities have avoided directly congratulating Narendra Modi, after his historic win in the Lok Sabha elections, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has welcomed him.
Talking to the media at the Cannes Film Festival, here is what Aishwarya had to say.
I think India is definitely hopeful, definitely inspired. We are looking forward to India shining. With all respect, we welcome you, Prime Ministerji. I heard in his speech about how this definitely is going to be a journey together. And yes, as one amongst the people of my country, we’d love to take this journey and ride together. God Bless.
