The first teaser trailer of a film releasing in 2016 is out and it’s also time for us to make our first prediction for the new year.
The 2 minute long trailer is outstanding; high on production values, realistic performances, excellent background score and when a man waves the Indian flag on top of the Queen Alia International Airport, it also evokes a sense of patriotism. The teaser itself makes you want to watch the film, first day first show.
And then we have Akshay Kumar, one of the best and most versatile actors in the industry today, who seems to have delivered yet another terrific performance. His body language, dialogue delivery, the intensity and pain in his eyes.. makes you wonder if there is anything that Akshay cannot do? Unlike many other actors, there is very little homework that Akshay does. It’s all spontaneous. Remember, he shot Singh Is Bling and Airlift together.
4.5 stars for the teaser.
#IndicineFBO Box Office Prediction: Like Baby, which released during the same weekend last year, Airlift will have limited appeal for audience at mass centres. The film is targeted at the multiplex audience, and it’s here where Akshay films have under-performed in recent times. Also, it’ll be interesting to see what sort of marketing strategy the makers have planned for Airlift. The trailer of Baby was launched on December 3rd last year, it was received well, but without song promos in the weeks that followed, the film couldn’t sustain the buzz. The teaser of Airlift has released more than 2 months before the film.
We start IndicineFBO with a prediction of 10.6 crore for Airlift. The final prediction, like always, will be made on 21st January 2016 (a day before the film’s release). It’s releasing on a working Friday and has a big holiday for Republic Day on Tuesday. If the film is well-received, it could give Akshay his much-needed 100 crore grosser.

@sultan agree indicine fbo started very well but they hv fallen considerably in past 3months. 100%+ inaccuracy of highhly anticipated films like pkpn2 kkpk is unforgivable and they got WB SIB also wrong.too many blunders in past few months and they r not learning their lesson.

there is no comparison between akki who can’t do much intense role like 15 FILMFARE ALL ROUNDER ACTOR KING SRK.
the initial production cost is 30 cr for the movie ‘minus’ the promotions which i’m sure will be kept at minimum as the film is for the classes not the masses….
Whatever the opening the movie will receive good ratings from critics but lifetime will end up between 60-90 crs in Akki club. Akki fans, give respect and take respect until then Joker boy from paglapur …. oye dil kare chu cha chuchaaaa !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lol

the teaser/trailer is just brilliant.no matter how much it will earn in box office though i wish it to be superhit if not blockbuster.but thae fact is people will love the movie,they will talk about it like baby,drishiyam,znmd etc.people will rewatch these kind of movies at home whether people forget the so called big one like raa one,hny,prdp after the release though these are ahead in bo collection.
It’s too early to start predicting box office figures. Also,Indian audiences really do not value good quality films.Baby became a hit purely because of Akshay’s starpower.But I hope Airlift does well at the box office,because someone needs to shut up Akki’s haters when they negate his performances by comparing box office figures.What everyone has to realize is that Akshay releases 4 films a year,and because of that,His audience is also divided by 4.So despite this major factor and many more factors,the Numbers Akshay generates are frankly incredible.So let’s hope the KHILADI strikes again,just like he usually does and Airlift becomes a hit!
Is it me or did anyone else find this teaser very dull!!! Akshay looks to modern and the looks dont suit him for a film which was suppose to be be shot in 1990?
