Aditi Rao, who was in news lately for her steamy kissing scenes with co-actor Arunodhay Singh in Sudhir Mishra‘s Yeh Saali Zindagi, has signed what could turn out to be the biggest role of her career so far.
We have all heard of the upcoming movie ‘Rockstar‘ haven’t we? The film directed by Imtiaz Ali (director of Jab We Met, Love Aaj Kal) will star Ranbir Kapoor and Nargis Fakhri, but the name of the actor to play the second female lead was kept under wraps. The well-kept secret is out and its Aditi Rao Hydari who will be playing the role of a journalist in the film.
Aditi had auditioned for the role of the female lead which eventually went to Nargis Fakhri, but the actress is pretty happy playing the second lead “I’m happy with the part I finally got in ‘Rockstar’. I am the narrator who connects Ranbir’s character to the audience. It’s a part like Rani Mukerji’s in (Yash Chopra’s) Veer Zaara. I play a young journalist. The chemistry between me and Ranbir Kapoor is…… you will have to see it yourself.”
Rockstar will be shot mostly in Delhi and is expected to release on July 15th 2011.
