Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has become the 47th 100 crore grosser in Bollywood and the 6th 100 crore grosser this year. While joining the ‘club’ which was created by Aamir Khan in 2008, is no longer as big it was a few years ago, it was always going to be important for the Diwali releases to get to 100.
This year, two big films that were assumed to be certain 100 crore grossers – FAN and Mohenjo Daro – were major disappointments at the box office. With about 50 days to go before the end of the year, ‘Dear Zindagi’, ‘Befikre’ and ‘Dangal’ are the big film releases that have a chance.
