43 films have now crossed the 100 crore mark at the box office in India and almost all of them belong to major male stars in the industry. The only exceptions are Tanu Weds Manu Returns and Grand Masti – both of which were sequels to successful films.
Salman Khan has dominated the industry unlike any other actor in recent times, and his winning streak of mega grossers and blockbusters is probably the best of all time. Since the second half of 2010, every single film featuring the megastar in the lead, has crossed the 100 crore mark. He leads the second best (Shah Rukh Khan) by a margin of 3 films.
Salman also has a unique record of 9 consecutive films crossing the 100 crore mark, which other actors will struggle to achieve. Shah Rukh was 6 not out, but was dismissed earlier this year when FAN failed to cross 100.
Ajay Devgn has 5 major grossers. He’s now tied with Akshay Kumar, whose latest release ‘Housefull 3’ has just surpassed 100. The founder of almost all the clubs - Aamir Khan has 4 films. But all these actors do not have consecutive 100 crore films – Aamir missed out with Talaash. Akshay and Ajay have several films that have failed to cross 100 in the last few years.
Hrithik Roshan has three films, it’s a unbroken streak (Agneepath, Krrish 3 and Bang Bang) which he would hope to continue with Mohenjo Daro later this year and Kaabil early next year. He’s followed by the younger generation of actors – Ranveer, Ranveer and Varun – all have two 100 crore grossers each. John also has two 100 crore films, but both were multistarrers. Arjun, Farhan, Sidharth and Saif have one each.

Aamir.. Small but mighty. His selected Filmography has limited his editions of century records but his ratio is fantastic and he is the founder of 100 200 300 cr so anything is possible for him. Talaash missed out but still range of 90 cr so I don’t think that’s a failure. He has more to offer.
Srk.. The last person to underestimate. He is still a crowd puller. A genuine and honest actor..He is among the 2 celebrity who are clash specialist whose movies still crosses the coveted magic number. Recently his movies scripts has been poor but expect him to still be a top name amongst the movers and shakers of box office.
Non Khan’s
Ajay Devgn.. Not cos am a fan of him but having 5 100 cr in his name, the 3rd founder of d club and also like Srk his big clashes with A list stars still yields 100 crs.
His done some very poor scripted movies and also the least promoter of his movies though Shivaay publicity has been up to standard. Having 4 100 crs way back 2012 is another testimony of his prawness.
Hrithik Roshan.. Probably shares the same trait with Salman and Aamir. All his movies from where he started have been 100 cr grossers. Like Aamir his selected movies too has limited his numbers but he is someone that you just don’t take chances with. Comfortably getting his 4th 100 crs come independence day. Much more from him too.
Akshay.. Well his volume of movies on non holiday has strengthen his CV.. He does not get d Edx but chooses the best period to release on non Edx dates and has had some success too. IMO he deserves all the credit he has. It will be childish of me not to accredite his zeal to release couple of movies in a year. I still feel extending his 50-60 days to complete a movie will.be added advantage for him.
Youngistan.. Ranveer Ranbir are still rulers in their league. Very bright future with good scripts and honest dedication.
Varun Arjun Sidharth… Well good career so far but should give out more they have the capability.
Unsung Heroes
Shahid kapoor… Dunno what more he should give out but one of the most talented actor among the mid ages and I still have the feeling he will stamp his mark..time is running out so he must catch up esp with a big budget, Established director and qualitative scripts.
Abhishek Bhachan… His name deserves to be somewhere there. Or atleast some praises on his recent work. Worked with Ajay Aamir Srk Akshay. He is a lucky mascot. Esp with the big stars.. But will always be remembered as a very improved supporting actor of recent time.
It’s all Salman Khan. Most of his 100 crore grossers have been huge success. Crossing 100 crore mark is not a big achievement these days for big stars, it’s just a number. When 300 crore club has been founded, ‘superstars’ should be looking for 200 crore grossers now as 100 crore should be easy for them now.

Guess for a movement what would my case be if I had not begged south remakes due to lack of talent? What would be my existence. Oops, please don’t say I would have been begging on roads because then I wouldn’t have chance to kill innocent man and injured 3 other people. My stardom in bollywood is absolutely fake. Just remember those days when even Aftab, tushar, Jackie bhagnani, Harman baweja’s movies were taking bigger opening than life time collections of my films in last decade. Even mosquitos were not watching my movies in theaters. After delivering 11 back to back disasters, I called Prabhu deva and begged him to give me support as a director by stealing Mahesh babu’s south movie pokiri as wanted and that was my come back hit and u know why? Because wanted title really attracted many to watch it because that title really suits my real life character as I am the most wanted criminal who killed black bucks, beat women like some Ali, Sangeeta biljani, aishwary raise, I killed a person sleeping on a road, all these qualities appealed to many people aND they watched the film assuming that it will show how cheap, criminal person I am and they thought it would be my biography. But my disaster non acting and cheap story without any logic made many of them go to coma and those who survived suddenly became my fans and they have lost their iq forever and now they are watching my craps and spending their all money in crap none actor like me. So these are the secrets behind my fake stardom. And you know, I am yet to come out of my comfort zone and do out and out niche thrillers like Talaash’s or fan. Once I will do those kind of films I will not be able to cross even 30 Cr life time as you all should remember the collections of almost all my films in last decade. ????????????
