Action Jackson has collected Rs 9 crore approx on Saturday at the domestic box office. The first day official figure is Rs 11.1 crore, which takes the 2-day total to Rs 20 crore net.
Business of the film has witnessed significant drops at mass-centres where it did well on Friday. Multiplexes were flat on Saturday, even the evening / night shows had low occupancy. Rajasthan circuit collected Rs 66 lakhs on Friday, business here has dropped by around 20%, to Rs 54 lakhs on Saturday.
Action Jackson will collect around 30 crore in its first weekend, business on Monday will decide if it can cross the 50 crore mark, or it goes on to be the 5th straight disaster for the industry.
All eyes on Aamir Khan’s PK now. Corporate bookings have already begun at a few centres.

Today we finally see the truth. SRK is far bigger than Ajay or Rohit can ever dream of being. Only SRK and Salman can give such big openings with crap directors and average movies. Even Aamir needs good product and great content and big franchise or Raju for big opening.

PK wont be a huge hit……in tralier nd songs one can clearly see amir’s overacting…..amir is a good actor but it seems in this movie he has overcooked his own character…If the story is good movie might be a hit but it wont be a blockbuster thats for sure.

Almost 2 cr diffeance on low figure. Where are those who worshiping ajays sincerity for not fudging collections. Though 11 cr is not bad but 20% drop from previous day is something to worry. Ajay has given many hit movies before associating with Rohit shetty. But today people don’t accept him as a star outside Rohit shetty movie. This happened with govinda too (without David dhawan) Maybe few ajay fans will start to attacking me and brings example of outim but I want to let them know that movie ran because ajays pure acting not because of ajay as a star. Ajays last biggest opener as a star was qayamat. It was much bigger opener on single screen and interior than chalte chalte, andaz, tere naam etc.
good to see people are saving their huge bucks for PK hope pk will not PJ to Bollywood looking promos it will collect 150-180 cr lifetime because peoples avoiding the films .

It seems that BOI is really the only one that has reliable sources, rest all are giving fake collections, according to their own whims and fancies or as per what the makers want them to give.
No wonder that even after so many years of other websites giving collections, none of them are authorised by wikipedia to put their figures as official on their website, while anyone can go and edit and put their collections on the website, but the wiki officials are not taking any of these bogus figures.
@JC, BOI was the first site to start giving out box office numbers, because of which they will always remain a credible source. BOI is pretty accurate, but not always. They clearly under-reported the figures of Krrish 3 and also last week’s release Zid (although the collections weren’t close to as high as the official figures, they weren’t as low as BOI either).
It does take quite a bit of effort to publish numbers on a daily basis and a bit of money too. Unfortunately, it’s not worth the effort or money, because BOI has established itself as a credible source and people (read fans) want to believe any figure that’s higher.
Wikipedia is not always accurate either. User edited website with strict moderation.
We have been thinking about including trade estimates along with producer figures. Might do it soon.
