After Hrithik Roshan refused Karan Johar for the Agneepath remake, news is that Karan has approached Abhishek Bachchan to play the role, which won his father a national award.
And, according to a local daily, it looks like the Junior Bachchan has agreed to do the film “Abhishek has said on many occasions that Agneepath (and Zanjeer) is his favourite Bachchan film.”
With Karan keen to start shooting the film early next year, the film could release during the fall of 2010.
Can Abhishek do justice to the iconic role of Vijay Dinanath Chauhan? Will he bring in some kind of originality to the role or just copy his father’s mannerisms? The original was a commercial disaster, can Abhishek do what his father couldn’t? Definitely something to look forward to…
