Filmmaker Prakash Jha who is most known for his socio-political films like Raajneeti and Aarakshan will be co-producing three films in association with Eros International.
In his first film which will be titled Chakravyuh, he has signed Abhay Deol and Arjun Rampal. It will also feature Esha Gupta and Manoj Bajpai in important roles. The film is currently in the pre-production stage. It will be written by Prakash Jha, Anjum Rajabali and Sagar Pandya and is scheduled to go on floors on 7th April 2012. The music director duo of Salim-Sulaiman have been roped in to compose the music.
Jha shares an association with Eros that goes back to his 1997 film ‘Mrityudand’ that focused on the social and gender prejudice.
While Raajneeti was a box-office blockbuster, Aarakshan didn’t quite manage to emulate it’s success. With Chakravyuh, it will be interesting to see Abhay Deol and Arjun Rampal share screen-space.
