ABCD 2 has done well on its second day at the box office, with net collections of around Rs 15 crore, as per early estimates based on collections from a few centres. The two day collection of the film now stands at Rs 29 crore, which is excellent for a film starring Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor.
The Saturday business of the film in Mumbai circuit was once again affected by rains, as people in Mumbai city were advised to stay indoors.
At other centres, ABCD 2 continued to perform well. The film is carrying decent word-of-mouth too, which should ensure that it does well in the long run.
The big advantage for ABCD2 is that it has 4 open weeks at the box office, before the release of Bajrangi Bhaijaan. If the film holds well on Monday and the remaining weekdays, it could go on to be a huge grosser at the domestic box office. The 3D version of ABCD 2 has also performed very well. The Sunday collections of the film could be in 16-17 crore range, and this would take the weekend collections to 46 crore.
In the overseas markets too, ABCD 2 has emerged as the biggest opener for a film starring Varun Dhawan. The film has done business in excess of $1 million AED in UAE (two days), even though business tends to get severely affected due to Ramadan.

This numbers are defo inflated because all of this sites are paid through the produsers to show us wrong figures. For example site like bollywoodhungama.com would always have first day first show after couple of hours film release. But this film that site did not had first day first show because they knew the word of mouth is not great but not even good. So they kept everything under the table and started inflating the boxoffice figures because all of them are paid medias…
@sami : Yes Hny was definitely long but so is Abcd2..hny had some nice comic scenes..here we have dance dance and dance..most of the scenes between dance sequences don’t work.
