Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan will begin shooting for his next much-awaited film ‘Dangal’ next month. The film will be shot in parts of Punjab and Haryana.
Aamir will be seen portraying the role of Legendary wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat, who trained his daughters Babita Kumari and Geeta Phogat in wrestling. They went on to win silver and gold medals for India at the 2010 Commonwealth Games.
While Aamir plays Mahavir Singh Phogat in Dangal, newcomers Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra will be playing his daughters Geeta and Babita respectively. Sakshi Tanwar has been signed in to play Mahavir’s wife Daya Kaur in the film.
Aamir has put on 30 kilos of weight for the role and auditioned thousands of girls for the film. From rigorous workouts to following a strict diet, Aamir is doing everything he possibly can to make ‘Dangal’ the biggest and most-awaited film of 2016.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, ‘Dangal’ is scheduled to release during Christmas next year.
