All is not Well for the Mr Perfectionist of Bollywood, Aamir Khan. Known to put in whatever it takes to get the best performance out of himself, Aamir recently put his body on the line for an action sequence of the film. The shoot which was going on in Ludhiana, required Aamir to give long shots from multiple angles because of which his body ultimately gave up and he seemed to be in excruciating pain due to muscle spasms.
He was immediately rested but that did not help much as the star was not in a condition to continue.
A source said “Aamir had been filming a long action sequence that required multiple takes from different angles. When he slumped during the final take, the unit thought he had pulled a muscle. He was in excruciating pain even after half an hour of rest and ice packs. He couldn’t even stand up. He was then rushed to the hospital where it was diagnosed that he had suffered a serious shoulder injury.”
The spokesperson of the actor, has released the following statement
“Following the injury, Aamir took 24 hours of rest in Ludhiana as he could hardly move. Now, he has been asked to take complete rest for eight days after which doctors will decide the next course of action”
Aamir tweeted “Hey guys its not such a major injury. My back muscle has gone into a spasm. A week of rest and I will be back on shoot.”
Aamir has reportedly gained a lot of weight for the role of the 60 year old wrestler, Mahavir Singh Phogat, and currently weighs 98 kg. His body weight is too much for a man of his size and the quick weight gain has proved to be detrimental for the actor. Therefore, Aamir will return home to his family and will be on bed rest for a week or so.
Here’s hoping he recovers quickly.
