A night to remember at the IPL Finals in Navi Mumbai!

As Chennai Super Kings led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Mumbai Indians led by the legendary Sachin Tendulkar pulled up their sleeves to fight the final battle at the D.Y. Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, the tournament ended with style and pomp. Marking the sold-out event were big names from the entertainment industry.

Academy award winner AR Rahman, dressed in white, performed to the tunes of Chale Chalo from the Oscar nominated film Lagaan.

Soon the hot and sexy Bipasha Basu made her way on to the stage and performed to some of her most popular songs like “Race IPL ki” (Race Sasoon Ki) and “All the Best”.

Next up was Shahid Kapoor, who made a smashing entry and performed to “Chaska”, a song from one of his upcoming films “Badmaash Company” and later sang the recent chartbuster “Dhan Te Nan” with the crowd that had gathered to catch the grand finale.

‘I had a great time. I thought we are actors and we should prove our fitness. I will be rooting for Mumbai Indians. It is going to be a night to remember,’ said Shahid talking to Set Max – Extra Innings host Samir Kochhar.

Lastly, AR Rahman re-appeared and sang two of his most famous compositions Jai Ho and Maa tujhe salaam. As Rahman disappeared, the chants of “Sachin – Sachin” were deafening and continued even after Chennai won the match. Truly a night to remember for those who witnessed the IPL final at the DY Patil Stadium here in Mumbai.
