As many as 7 movies released last weekend – Aiyyaa, Bhoot Returns, Makkhi, Login, Prem Mayee, Chittagong, In The Name Of Tai – and none of them made a mark at the box office.
All releases combined collected 10-11 crores nett over the 3 day weekend.
Below are the weekend collections of the three that managed some decent numbers. The rest were disasters.

- Makkhi – 2 crores

after hearing Anoupama Chopra’s review about Makkhi, and gave it a 4 star which really surprised me ( saw the trailer and thought it’s a crap film for sure).. went online and saw one part.. what a silly film is this?!! some movie critics are hypocrites!!! how can she give 4 star to this crap film.. oh.. a guy would die then he’s reborn in the form of a fly.. makkhi who wants to revenge!!! hahaha.. a kids film or what

@Fathiya,different critics review the film with different viewpoint.For example Taran Adarsh gave the film Ready 4 stars,Tezz 4 stars & Raone 4.5 stars & John Abraham starrer Dhoom 1.5 stars. Similarly Rajeev Masand gave 1 star to Housefull 2, 2 stars to Oh My God but gave 2.5 stars to Players. So never blindly trust critics.
Makkhi is from south film named Eega, its blockbustor there and disaster in bolly cause cast are entirely new faces.
The root cause of these failures is the rush to put films on the market in BW. As a result film production rushed through in less than 6 months with very poor scriots. It’s almost like making a music video. In Hollywood, the average film takes 1 year to make and the real blockbusers take at least 2 years in the making. BW should really change their approach to film making, The directors and producers look at it like an ATM and most times they are disappointing.
