Dhoom 3 Theatrical Trailer (30th October) – Yash Raj Films’ biggest release this year is all set to hit screens this Christmas. The Dhoom series of films is one of the most successful franchisees in Bollywood and the 3rd film with Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif is all set to end the year with a ‘DHOOM’. The teaser of the film garnered more than 12 million views on Youtube. It remains to be seen what sort of an impact the trailer has, when it’s revealed at an event tomorrow at 6PM.
Jai Ho First Look Poster (expected on 30th October) – Salman Khan’s first film in more than a year releases in theatres on January 24th. There have been several reports in the last few weeks, but the first look poster of the Salman Khan film might finally be unveiled tomorrow. No official confirmation on this yet though.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s birthday (1st November) – Renowned the world over for her beauty, the stunning Aishwarya turns 40 on November 1st. Post-pregnancy, she is yet to sign her comeback film, but like every other year her birthday will be covered extensively by the media and celebrates by her fans the world over.
Krrish 3 finally hits screens (1st November) – It’s been a long wait. Rakesh Roshan’s most ambitious superhero film went on floors more than 2 years ago. The entire year of 2013 was dedicated to post-production. The trailer has been viewed a record number of times on Youtube and the craze for the advance booking is better than any film this year. The pre-release reports are fantastic too!
Shah Rukh Khan’s Birthday (2nd November) – One of the biggest superstars in the industry celebrates his 48th birthday. As early as 3 days before his birthday, fans on social media websites like Twitter have been trending #SRKDay #BirthdayOfBadshahKhan #HappyBirthdaySRK and many other hashtags – all to show their love towards their favourite star. On most birthdays, Khan invites the media to his Bandra residence, this year is likely to be no different. For fans though, celebrations will continue throughout the day.

The whole nation is looking forward to Krrish 3 release, that’s what matters most. And then there is Dhoom 3. People have waited 7 long years for these movies. Now finally their wait is over. Whats so special about bdays, it come n go every year!!!!! But its these movies that made us wait 7 long years. So like most of the people of this nation my votes go to the biggest n the most awaited movies of the year K3 & D3.

I am not surprised by the poll results. The real results are when audience go to movie halls, spent money and watch movies and make them Blockbusters consistently. So hats off the to actors (Aamir & Salman) who consistenly pull audience and gives Blockbusters instead of giving one ATBB or BB in 5 years or once in a Blue moon !!! no wonder fans create multiple ids to vote on such polls to show a deceiving result. @hritic amir gave back to back blockbuster, joke of the decade. Amir have to wait 12year to give a blockbuster after raja hindustai, where talash is not even a clean hit. Salman have to wait 14year to give a single blockbuster after karan arjun, hritic haven’t gave any blockbuster since d2 where srk just wait 4 to 5 year thats the power of king. Srk also gave back to back blockbuster but salman aheade of srk inturms of blockbuster. Srk is the only actor who gave back to back clean hits n never single gave flop where salman gave back to back diastar, now you decide who is the king, srk is the king of bollywood.

The advance booking reports of the film have been overwhelming and as the film releases in over 4000 screens the collections should kick start well.
A mild trade buzz also suggests that the price ofKrrish 3tickets will be higher than that of Chennai Express.The film, which released this Eid sold tickets at 500 INR per ticket in most multiplexes at metropolitan cities. IfKrrish 3even equates the ticket rates ofChennai Express, that would be reason enough for the film to easily be amongst the forerunners at being one of the fastest entrants of the distinguished 100 crore club.

Since the film caters mainly to the youth and kids, one can expect to find more families flocking the theatres on its first day. Hrithik’s last film Agneepath,that was a Republic Day release in 2012, earned23 croreson its 1st day. Though it might be hard for the film to match up to the collections ofChennai Expressor Ek Tha Tigerwhich released on full blown holidays, it surely has the potential to surpass this year’s highest non-holiday release YJHD,which made a record breaking opening day moolah of19.45 crores.
For a film likeKrrish 3, word of mouth might have a quintessential role to play. On its Day 2, the film might get slightly dampened due to the festivities occupying the center-stage for most families. The film on its second day, which is a Diwali, should earn in the range of19 crores. There is remote chance of the film showing a tremendous pick up on that day due to the Diwali buzz already gathering more attention than the film for most people.
On Day 3 too, the film will at best remain in the same range or show a minimal growth at the box office. Being the actual day of Diwali, the holiday focus will mostly be on spending time with the family and engaging in festive fun more than watching a film. @SAKHI : If ETT is Masala Genre then both Don & Don 2 are massala movies too. First learn the difference between Masala genre n other genre movies before barking. ETT is highest grosser for not only Salman but YRF too. Despite working with YRF in so many movies srk could not give YRF such a huge grosser.
