2 years after the blockbuster success of ‘PK’, Aamir Khan returns with yet another Christmas movie release titled ‘Dangal’. While the 300 crore mark is still a massive box-office mountain to climb, the track record of Aamir during the biggest weekend of the year is so immense, that the first target for the film will be to beat ‘Dhoom 3’ and cross the 300 crore mark.
In the last 8 years, four Aamir Khan films have released during the Christmas weekend and every single film has shattered box office records:
Ghajini, 3 Idiots and Dhoom 3 recorded the Highest Opening Day, Highest Single Day, Highest Opening Weekend, Highest Grosser of the Year and Highest Grosser of All Time. PK missed out on the opening day records, but went on to smash all-time records by a huge margin.
Only three films and two superstars have managed to cross the 300 crore mark. The films are PK, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Sultan. The actors, who also happen to be two of the biggest stars in the industry today, are Salman and Aamir.
Salman has crossed the 300 crore mark twice, even though Aamir was the first to ‘open the club’. In fact, Aamir is known as the founder of every box office landmark in the industry, whether it is 100, 150, 200, 250 or 300!
Can Dangal cross 350? Can the film go on to be the highest grosser of all time? How much will the impact of demonetisation be, especially at smaller centres? Almost all ‘highest grossers’ have been commercial films providing wholesome entertainment, will ‘Dangal’ entertain the audience like some of Aamir’s other Christmas films have? Will Aamir beat Salman’s Sultan and top the year once again?
And finally, will the man whose films carry expectations of a classic each time he releases a film - yet again live upto the immensely high expectations?

In my opinion Dangal will struggle to cross 250 crs . But anyways the film is almost destined to be a Blockbuster . Anything below Blockbuster will be considered as disappointment .
Aamir have maximum records why he left behind from salman khan
All the Aamir’s fans will say Dangal will do 300 crores and smash all the records while the fan of Salman, SRK and Hrithik will say it will fail badly. Instead of arguing, I advise you to wait and see what is the fate of Dangal. If it is a good movies, it will do good business and if it is a bad one, it will fail at the box office
I will accept the fact that he’s a bigger star than Salman if the movie turns out to a crap but still becomes a blockbuster.If the movie is good credit should go to whole cast.

300 cr is Highly Impossible.
Reasons
1-Commercial Factor eg.3I,D3 and PK was commercial movies.
2- Christmas and New year Fall on sunday means 35Cr loss.
3-Demonesation Will affect at smaller centre 15% loss
4-Dangal reasing after super success of Sultan that will hurt 5%
so if we concider Dangal is best work of Amir Khan then Also 350cr-35cr loss due to new year and Christmas fall on sunday-15cr Demonesation-15Cr Sultan Factor-5cr Buzz not high like his other movie so Opening day will be low..So in best Case Dangan can earn 290 cr.

Dangal will never ever cross 300 crore for sure. If good, the film will cross 250-280. If average it will just 200-225. if bad it will cross 175-195 crores.

I don’t think Xmas and New year falling on Sunday will impact movie if it turn out to be a classic ,bcoz winter holidays r also there ,the only trouble for Dangal is Demonitisation .Those who r saying sultan will impact him ,it will not IMO

Simply saying i want it to beat sultan as it is a much better movie !! But still my instinct says 300 crore is highly unlikely for dangal due to success of sultan and due to demonetization !! But even if dangal crosses 250 crore it will be a bigger hit than sultan due to the reasons stated above !!
