Akshay Kumar is all set to equal the record of Shah Rukh Khan for the 2nd highest most number of 100 crore films. Salman Khan tops the list with 10 – consecutive – 100 crore films.
Akshay’s last release ‘Rustom’ which released with Mohenjo Daro last week, will become the superstar’s 3rd consecutive 100 crore grosser – all of which have come this year. No other actor in the history of Indian Cinema has previously achieved the same record, the most was 2 films – which has been achieved 4 times before by Salman Khan.
It could be a unique record which only Akshay Kumar can boast of, because very few actors do more than 2 films per year. Akshay could achieve the same record next year or even deliver four 100 crore films next year, if his fantastic run continues.
The Mohenjo Daro debacle has also resulted in Hrithik’s streak of three consecutive 100 crore films has ended quite abruptly.

Akshay is already ahead of SRK in 100cr club coz his most of the films are released on Non-holiday so don’t compare SRK with Akshay, SRK has the max no. of solo festival releases for any current star, Really happy to see him struggling for a Solo release !!! He deserves it !!!
Bhai is successful on Non-holiday as well as on EDX too, he never failed to crossed 100cr mark since he joined the club.

Aamir and SRK would als9 have given 10 back to back 100 cr films had they only done commercial films and released almost all on big festivals, or Republic day or post ipl period. Let salman come out of his comfortable zone and do movie like fan or talaash and release on pure non holiday period. I bet you it will break his so called consistent streak. Playing safe like coward and not coming out of your comfort zone doesn’t make you bigger then anyone else. Overall salman is still under the shelter and that’s why nobody has seen his aukaat.
