The second poster of Neerja has been captioned ‘Fear gave her courage’. Sonam, who plays the role of Neerja in the film based on a real-life incident, is seen protecting children from a terrorist.
About Neerja Bhanot: Neerja Bhanot was a flight attendant for Pan Am, based in Mumbai, who was murdered while saving passengers from terrorists on board the hijacked Pan Am Flight 73 on 5 September 1986. Posthumously, she became the youngest recipient of India’s highest peacetime military award for bravery, the Ashok Chakra.
Directed by Ram Madhvani, Neerja releases in theatres on February 19 2016.
The trailer of the film has received a good response in the trade. The film is expected to take a good opening at the box office.
