Creature 3D and Finding Fanny were the two releases last weekend. Mary Kom was running on 75% fewer shows compared to its first week. Raja Natwarlal was out of most theatres and Mardaani is nearing the end of its run.
With 3 films contributing more than 90% to the all India business of Hindi films, we review the weekend ending 14th September.
Starring Bipasha Basu in a scary film directed by Vikram Bhatt, Creature 3D was expected to take a good opening at the box office. However, the film started slow and didn’t show enough growth in business over the weekend. Single-screen business was decent, but the film was a complete washout at multiplexes in cities. Circuits like Mysore were disastrous.
Creature 3D Weekend Collections

- Saturday – 3.65 cr
- Sunday – 4.48 cr
- Total – 11.38 cr
Homi Adajania’s Finding Fanny was the first choice at multiplexes last weekend. The film dominated business at high-end multiplexes and managed to collect more than the combined business of Creature 3D and last week’s release Mary Kom. The Deepika Padukone – Arjun Kapoor starrer had a decent weekend, but now relies on weekdays to recover its costs. The film has to collect around 40 cr to be a success at the domestic box office.

- Saturday – 7.06 cr
- Sunday – 7.75 cr
- Total – 19.91 cr
And finally, the second weekend business of Priyanka Chopra’s Mary Kom was below the mark. The film had a huge advantage of tax free status in several states, but couldn’t take advantage due to average content. It will finish with lifetime collections of around 55 cr net. Average.

Raja Natwarlal has ended its run with net box office collections of Rs 29 cr. FLOP.

It will be difficult for Fanny to cross 40crs as it is running on 900 screens and next week 2 films(khoobsurat n Daawat-e-ishq) are arriving which will take much of its screen…

arjun kapoor is a very lucky in bollywood his acting is pathetic he always outshadowed by his co stars like parineeti oushadowed him in ishaqzaade,pritviraj in aurangzeb,alia in 2states,ranveer singh in gunday deepika in finding fanny he is getting films because of his father.

Creature 3D is based on the same ghisa pita old story whom we have been watching from our chilhood. I felt like i wasted my time after watching it. Good thing were bips and music. My rating 1.5/5

Creature 3D was made in 15crs only, infront of fanny’s 40 cr budget. yet creature 3D made weekend 11.38cr+mon 3cr +overseas 2cr = 16.38 crs Box-Office and with music & satellite rights & brand tie ups = 18.50 crs. So total collection is 34.88 cr. AND normally when trade pandits says, when any film incomes twice its cost is a Declared HIT. So now you know which film is successful. Its Creature 3D, who’s a HIT film of Bipasha after a while.
Ya, Creature is going very strong in single screen theatres of UP here. Its a Hit
Bips have the most beautiful body and those action between sheets are heabby sexy, sabse namkeen item hain, kya rass bhari figure hain . Dekh dekh jee nahin bhaarta hai yaar. Movie badi mast hain aur baramrakhsas toh darawna hai.
Yeh results wrong hai, Creature was housefull today too but fanny was very low profile today. Maybe reports ulta hain

@ArjunKapoor son everyone criticsing your performance in Finding Fanny. And you again overshadowed by your co-stars. @SonamKapoor nw pls don’t disspoint us like your brother. Otherwise to save Kapoor surname your uncle @BoneyKapoor had to make another Mr. India but this time instead of making me disappear the gadget real work is to wipeout all the KWK episodes featuring @SonamKapoor and all the films of arjun where his mediocre performance got overshadowed by his co-actors.
Here is my review of Mary Kom. Just saw it in the weekend.
Well, I would rate Mary Kom just 1.5/5. It is that poor a film.
The film starts with a scene and then goes in to flash back and then suddenly you see PC beating up guys. For what, why and how all this happened, is left to the audience imagination.
Suddenly she is training and in a flash she is the State Champion. She then has problems at home, and there is some guy who is falling for her, and god knows what not is happening.
This is the worst kichdi you could have ever tasted.
The film finally finds some sense in the script at the final 15-20 minutes during her final return bout after being a mother. Those few minutes were really good.
They tried to cover everything about Mary and also wanted to fit it in the 120 minutes run time, which created all the confusion.
After the first half you ask, what just happened and why? lol.
Priyanka is first rate and the only saving grace of the movie, while all others you forget the moment you step out of the theatre – the characters, script, music, everything.
Priyanka made a big mistake by signing this, and i think she never bothered to read the script and was just too excited to do the role.
My ratings are 1.5 for Priyanka for being brave to select the script and doing justice to it, and 0 ratings for all others – director, script writer, music etc., etc., for spoiling a biopic of India’s most brave athelete.
PS: I had bashed @nipun for give a low rating, but i guess am sorry for that and am too surprised that he was too generous in giving that rating of 2.5 or 3 i guess. This movie doesn’t deserve to be a classic by a mile.
Finding Fanny is an awesome movie..well shot and a nice story..good direction by Homi Adjania..fabulous performance from all the actors..Even Ranveer Singh steals the show in those 2 mins..Arjun will surely be a star after Tevar..This guy rocked in 2 states and rocked here too.. 4/5 from me!!! :)
