Uttar Pradesh CM’s gift to Madhuri: Dedh Ishqiya tax free

Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit will be performing for Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav in Saifai, the ancestral village of Samajwadi Party leader Mulayam Singh Yadav.

The annual ‘Saifai Mahotsava’ fair, that is organised to take place today, will also be witness to performances from other stars like Ranveer Singh and Soha Ali Khan.

In what is being seen as a gift from the ruling party to Madhuri Dixit, the Akhilesh Yadav government has exempted her upcoming film ‘Dedh Ishqiya’ from entertainment taxes in Uttar Pradesh.

Dedh Ishqiya releases in theatres this weekend.

  • So UP CM will now pay it from his pocket? lol.

I mean, really what is the reason for the movie being made tax free? Is it of national importance, something related to a movement for people, or education or what?

If they remove the exhorbitant taxes and put minimal taxes we would get the ticket much cheaper.

but then who cares about the common man anyways.

  • Why up’s citizen voted Akhilesh for CM,a movie suited for adults like Dedh Ishqiya has tax free in U.p.,what else can you hope from these politician. Very much disappointed from Salman,Madhuri as they performed there for money and for those people who doesn’t case for Muzaffarnagar victims
