Ormax Media has released their monthly star rankings for October 2012. Salman Khan reigns supreme once again – he’s been the top star for more than a year now. Salman leads in all territories except West Bengal, where Shahrukh Khan takes the top spot.
SRK’s last release was a year ago – Don 2 in December 2011. He regains the second spot for the first time since May 2012.
Akshay Kumar and Ranbir Kapoor take the 3rd and 4th spot respectively. Hrithik is at No 5, while Aamir Khan, who hasn’t had a release since 3 Idiots in 2009, is at No 6.
Amongst the actresses – the list is almost unchanged from last month. Katrina Kaif is the top star, followed by Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Surprisingly, Vidya Balan doesn’t make it to the Top 10!

@ What is khans & Kapoors its only khans.That kapoor guy has to go a long way to reach that position.Agree that he is a good actor but its the media which fooling people by adding his name.As of now Hrithik & Akshay are much bigger superstar than RK who is just a raising star.So stop saying/writing khans & kapoor.
Shah Rukh Khan has the highest fan following through out the world where no one is even near to him…So He is at the no.1 as always… :-)

Salman’s latest films r some successful at the box office, but he can’t be considered as best actor..no.. not at all.. I’ve observed all the actors and actresses you’ve added in this list. But according to box office results I have evaluated these stars pertaining a list. It is given below:
1. Akshay kumar: among his 5 films 4 remained hit and grossed total $377 crore.
2. Ajay Devgn:
both two films of ajay crossed $100 crore landmark. They grossed domestically $207 crore altogether.
3. Salman khan:
sallubhai rocks! Making a history, ek tha tiger has become the second film ever to supersede $200 crore domestically without reckoning overseas.
4. Shahrukh khan:
shahrukh has proved once again why he is called the king. His jab tak hai jaan has already crossed $130 crore (domestic) and net gross is $228 crore.
5. Ranvir kapur:
