Year 2007 has been a good year for the Bollywood Film Industry and the year belonged to Shahrukh Khan and Akshay Kumar. While Akshay delivered 4 back to back super hits (Namastey London, Heyy Babyy, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Welcome) King Khan had 2 blockbusters in Om Shanti Om and Chak De India.
Salman Khan had an above average year with a major set-back in the form of Salaam-e-Ishq but bounced back with Partner which grossed more than 60 crores at the Indian Box-office. Aamir Khan ended the year on a high with the critically acclaimed Taare Zameen Par.
2006 was undoubtedly Hrithik Roshan’s year but unfortunately, due to Jodhaa Akbar being delayed, he had no release this year.
Presenting, The Top 5 hits of the year
1) Om Shanti Om - Some hated it, most loved it. Om Shanti Om is the biggest blockbuster of the year. Total Net Gross - 86 crores.
2) Welcome - Although its just a week since Welcome released, the Akshay Kumar comedy has created history all over India. At most places the collections are on par with Shahrukh Khan’s Om Shanti Om. The movie has grossed a staggering 34 crores in its first week. With 8 weeks until the next biggie releases, the movie should easily outgross Chak De India.
3) Chak De India - Shahrukh Khan’s critically acclaimed Chak De India had an average opening at the box-office, which was quite surprising for a SRK starrer, but thanks to strong word of mouth the movie picked up and was declared a blockbuster in 6 weeks. The title song of the movie became the sports anthem! Total Net Gross - 64 crores.
4) Partner - Remake of Will Smith starrer Hitch, the movie worked largely due to the chemistry between Govinda and Salman Khan. Total Net Gross - 62 crores.
5) Bhool Bhulaiyaa - Directed by Priyadarshan, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, remake of a Malayalam movie, was the 3rd Super Hit for Akshay Kumar in 2007! Total Net Gross - 52 crores.
Note:- Taare Zameen Par had an average opening week, but the collections have picked up considerably almost everywhere. The list will be updated incase the Aamir Khan movie manages to outgross any of the Top 5 movies.

I think the 5 biggest BLOCKBUSTER of 2OO7 are:-
(1) OM SHANTI OM (All Time,Biggest, Blockbuster of 2OO7)
(2) Chak de India (All Time Blockbuster)
(3) Taare Zameen Par ( Blockbuster)
(4) Bhool Bhulaiya (Super-hit)
(5) Heyy Baby (Hit)
But I think that SRK is BESTEST he is good then Aamir Khan.SRK is just Waooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!

I would rank best movies of 2007 as follows
1) Taare Zameen Paar
2) Chakde India
3) Saawariya
4) Guru
5) Bhool Bhulaiya
6) Namaste London
Other movies: Om Shanti Om is a crap, only songs were good and Deepika’s acting.
Partner - a pastime movie, nothing special about it
Welcome - a meaningless movie, stupid crap

Sorry, forgot one more movie which is a good one: Apne, it’s worth also attention.
Honestly, I would say the most movie which I loved and saw it 3 times on screen was SAAWARIYA which non of you mentioned among best movies of 2007.
In terms of direction, cinematography, music, Saawariya is the best of all mentioned above. I consider it best movie for Mr. Bhansali. He deserves an award ’cause it is a unique one, something different. I just don’t understand why people love crapy stupid movies such as Welcome?!! I didn’t even finished watching it! It’s a meaningless movie, I’ve rented it yesterday just to watch Katrian Kaif as I consider her the most beautiful face in Bollywood after Ashiwariya Rai, and don’t know why she accepted a roll in this movie!

Indeed..!! Tare zameen par.!!.such films are made in decades and amir dared to extract such an important issue of dyslexic child wit a core simplicity….its the only film which have a potential to fetch an oscar this year…best of luck ..Amir..!!the rest films are just what we see annually..entertainment with masala and nothing else….the exceptions are chal de..!and jab we met..!!..but they are not at par with tzp..!!

spell bound performence by salman khan,govinda was also natural. the jodi of salman and govinda is best ever which made my favourite movie of 2007. shahrukh is best in om shanti om as we all know he is the king of bollywood.

hey how cum u guys like stupid comedy by akshay kumar well his all 5 movies of 2005 was crap….
lousy comedy…… he was gud in hera pheri but he is repeating the same thing again and again….. according to me the best movie of 2007
