Amitabh Bachchan’s TE3N took a slow start at the box office on Friday. The film has collected Rs 2.8 crore, which means the fate of the film is highly dependent on the growth that it manages to show on Saturday.
It was always going to be a word-of-mouth film, more so since the multiplex audience had other choices in the form of last week’s release ‘Housefull 3’ and the Hollywood film ‘The Conjuring 2’.
It remains to be seen where the film goes from here. The growth has to be more than 50% on Saturday and 60-70% would be a positive trend. The film hasn’t been unanimously praised by the critics, which does make a difference to films like TE3N – especially on Day 2 and 3.
In comparison, Wazir (also starring Farhan Akhtar) collected Rs 5.61 crore on Day 1. Shamitabh collected 3.5 crore and Bhoothnath Returns collected 3.41 crore.

Why not reporting collection of conjuring 2 ? It has affected Housefull 3 business on 2nd Friday by collecting 5 plus which is excellent in just 900 screens, Means Housefull 3 is not an Open week Release.
Houseful 3 is a flop and worst film of 2016 so far. Te3n is a much better film.
Only 2.8 crore?. Where is the fame of Amitabh bachan???. Another media hyped actor just surviving because of sholay!!. SRK is the most consistent since his debut… No one can reach him!! #fact.

Housefull will do 120 plus despite average trailer nd unpopular songs. SHEER STARDOM and Hard work. After these 2 100 crore movies, we should start calling him megastar as he is doing commercialy and critically fantastic which no other superstar is doing.
Akshay is confident about rustom too and said it will be my hat-trick of 100 crore this year ??
Was always expected to have a slow start. I am hoping it grows from here.
But reviews have been mixed and it is also up against Conjuring 2, HF3 so 50% growth looks quite tough.

@syed Srk is a flop actor in front of Big B. What Big B has achieved, Srk will not achieve in his dreams.
And no matter how much money or bought awards Srk has, he will never get the respect Big B gets.
TE3N is an OK movie i had alot of expectations after reading reviews,first half was not that good.
The Conjuring franchise is already a classic franchise if you thought the first one was scary trust me Conjuring 2 will blow your mind.
I think todays collection will be around 8cr,i totally enjoyed it, planning on watching it again.

Watched Housefull 3 for the third time and now I think that it is the biggest classic movie on earth ever made.. It is better than Sholay , Citizen Kane , The Godfather and my all time favourite movie Lootera.. Planning to watch it again with my kid baby nipun !!

I watch it with my mom and she loved as for me i mostly enjoyed it post interval,i would give it 3***.
Not alot of people will like this film only a few people will enjoy it.
Watched Warcraft and am planning on watching it again,the CGI was really good,forget about the review just go and watch it,trust me you will enjoy it.

@ Rish S at 5:49 pm : Watched the movie today and it was awesome. U don’t get to see such fine thrillers with an excellent starcast that often so enjoyed it thoroughly.
Big B was exceptional and it was amazing to see him doing such great roles even at this age. Nawazuddin was fantastic too and Vidya was also very good.
Some people have found the pace of the movie in the first half to be slow. But for me watching Big B and Nawazuddin together was a pleasure enough so the pace was never an issue for me. Overall 2 hrs and 16 mins very well spent.
Box office wise lets see how it performs. As you are saying good growth is being expected today and hopefully tomorrow also so will be great if it does well.
Now looking forward to Big B’s next movie “Pink”, another lead role in which he plays a lawyer. I hope he keeps coming with such awesome stuff.

@Salman Fan Akki did it without a holiday unlike your Criminal Bhai…Who’s already booked the next eid too…Even SRK has that much guts now to release a movie without EDX and I actually liked FAN too…Its way better than Prem Ratan chutiya Banayo…Only Rickshaw pullers support Lallu: The Criminal, cause he has no class at all…And Bajrangi Bhaijaan was good because of Nwaz and Harshali…Crminal Bhai’s only 2 good movies so far…Tere Naam and Kyon Ki…These 2 movies were really good and forget about others…Those are like some garbage bins…

Akki’s recent holiday releases like OUATIMD, baby, gabar, brothers, Singh is bling etc didn’t even come close to Bhai’s non holiday release huge underperformer Jai Ho. Here, I am not comparing Bhai’s recent lowest grosser Jai Ho collections (113cr) with Akki’s lowest grosser Joker’s collections (21cr)!!!.
