Like most of his films, Aamir Khan’s Satyamev Jayate has struck the right chord with television viewers in India. The TRP ratings have been consistently good and Aamir has hinted that he might continue the show beyond the planned 13 episodes.
“Right now I have to shoot ‘Dhoom 3’ and Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘PK’. After completing them, I will come back and take a stock of the situation and then I will decide about the season 2 of the show” said Aamir Khan on radio channel 92.7 Big FM.
Talking about the response the show has got, Aamir said “We have received a dream response! But it has been very difficult for us to review our work. So many things have happened that has made it difficult for our research team to go back to the fields and actually find out the actual impact we have created”
The first season so far has dealt with serious issues like Female Feoticide, Child sexual abuse, domestic violence, alcoholic abuse — just to name a few.

It would be awesome if Satyamev Jayate has a season two. In fact it is such shows which should have multiple seasons and continue to air for years, rather than mindless song-dance shows or quizzes to make money.
I am sure Aamir gonna rock with D3 and Peekay – winning box office and criticial acclaim, winning over his film audience. And I agree he must come back again on TV with Satyamev Jayate 2 after he’s done with his 2-3 films.
The show is a phenomenon and has had massive impact in India and even abroad! It’s the best thing done by AKP after Lagaan and TZP.
But this time in second season, they should avoid the 11 AM morning slot. And choose a slot which is closer to prime time. SJ has highest viewership no doubt, but many watch it in repeat telecasts or online. So they could choose a different time slot in future if they are to come with a second season.
