Saala Khadoos has collected Rs 2.19 crore on Day 1 at the box office, which is extremely poor when you consider the fact that it was well-promoted prior to release.
The occupancy throughout the day was poor, even though evening shows did pick up. The Hindi version was disastrous collecting Rs 1.28 crore on Day 1, while the Tamil version was below-the-mark collecting Rs 0.91 crore.
The reports are mixed, so it remains to be seen where Saala Khadoos goes from here. With a low starting point, even growth of 50-60% on Saturday wouldn’t be good enough for the film.
The reports had to be incredibly good for Saala Khadoos to have any chance against a film like Airlift. Unfortunately, that isn’t the case.
