PKP2 actor Omkar Kapoor has acted with SRK, Aamir, Salman and Anil Kapoor!

Almost everyone has seen Omkar Kapoor in the recently released super-hit ’Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2′. The movie and the actor’s performance has been loved by all. But you will be shocked to know that you have already seen him in quite a few movies before. Confused? Well, Omkar was a popular child actor a few years back.

The charming actor has acted in films like Judaai, Masoom and Anjaam with reputed actors like Anil Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit.

In a recent interview, Omkar said, “I enjoyed dancing even back then, and enjoy it now too. Actually, my career started with dance only. It was a fluke. There was a local orchestra happening in my area and I happened to participate. My dad’s friend was watching me and he thought I was talented and knew dancing well. He asked my father if I can act in his film. And dad gave his nod. So I just genuinely enjoyed dancing since childhood. I used to travel and my mom used to tell me this funny incident that I used to dance even on the railway station while waiting for the train to arrive.”

The actor added, “As a child actor, I did a lot of movies. I started off with a film Masoon which came in 1996 that had the song ‘Chota baccha’ which became a hit and was my claim to fame. Post that, I did a lot of films – Judaai which starred Anil Kapoor and Sridevi, Judwa, Hero No 1, Ghoonghat, Chaahat with Shah Rukh, Mela with Aamir. So I had a span of 8-10 years as a child actor and did around 14-15 films at that time.”

“After that I finished my education and realised that filmmaking had changed a lot. So I started assisting in direction for some time. I assisted Mr Sanjay Leela Bhansali on Saawariya for a year and a half, Farah Khan on Tees Maar Khan, Ahmed Khan as assistant choreographer for a time span. That period gave me a right kind of schooling to become an actor, which I always wanted. Once I realised that I’ve learnt a bit, I started my struggle because I would get a film after 2-3 years. Then I happened to bag Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 on my own merit completely and it was a great turnout for me” he added.

Well, we certainly loved him in the iconic films and also in PKP2. So here’s wishing Omkar all the best for his career.
