Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Akshay Kumar for his ‘good effort’ on spreading awareness on cleanliness in ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ and said all Indians have to continue working together to realise the dream of a clean India.
It was Akshay who first tagged the Prime Minister saying “Here is my humble contribution towards a Swachh Bharat. @narendramodi”
The PM, who is the most followed Indian on Twitter with more than 30 million followers, quoted Akshay’s tweet and said “Good effort to further the message of cleanliness. 125 crore Indians have to continue working together to create a Swachh Bharat.”

Akshay replied saying “Thank you so much honourable Sir. Hope we succeed in changing mindsets and truly making a difference.”
The superstar is working over-time to promote his upcoming release ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ which is said to increase awareness on PM’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan – under which the government has on-going plans of building toilets for every citizen in the country.
‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ releases in theatres on August 11.
Now this is serious licking Akshay. Make patriotic movies that’s fine! But no need to keep promoting it to earn a few more crores by getting it tax free

after MODI became PM akshay got national award for undeserving movie rustom seriously rustom ….how can rustom be a best male performer of nation, forget all other industry:where as even it was not in top 10 best male performer of bollywood.
It was all the licking of MODI and due to frenship with priyadarsan ,i do think akshay should just return his national award ,cuz we still rememeber in some bollywood award function he had returned award to aamir for ghajini so when it comes to national award he don.t have gut to return it…

Swatch Bharat Abhiyaan is a pet project of Mr. Prime Minister and there is no harm in tagging him as many common people also do the same if there is an effort in spreading this awareness.
Also cinema as a medium, can convey this message far more effectively to different cities and villages if it has been told in an entertaining way.
With back to back hits, Akshay probably would be last person to rely on tax exemption for the movie to be a commercially success.
It is good to be critic but better to be open minded and understand bigger objectives…

Great Going Canadian Kumar. Toilet trailer was universally liked so buzz should be there. Only concern is that they released trailer so early so how they will sustain buzz in upcoming two months as music should play big part in this.

Srk movie had a poor title, so we have to wait see how much buzz it will have among neutral audience.
Tubelight coming in 10 days from now but usual Salman movie kind buzz is missing, but Salman-Kabir khan director-actor pair still maintaining good buzz.
Golmaal again will be hot in public when it release on Diwali. Biggest film of the year after Salman’s Two films.
Waiting for TZH, I hope it will have some kickass action scenes even better than ETT have. No film of Aamir this year (as far as lead actor) making this year dull for me.

Akshay is doing movie on Toilet Subject, that’s why he is spreading awareness about it and gaining fame in the name of Social cause…..But its Salman who is making/repairing 3000 Toilets across Mumbai and he also donate 5 Mobile Toilets to BMC……And he did all this not for publicity or to promote his movie…….Nothing against Akki (movie promotion or not atleast Akki is doing something good for society rather than some other actors who only know how to earn money) but just telling what I read…..
