Disappointing to see Akshay getting the National Award for Rustom . Although I am really happy to see Neerja, Pink, Zaira Wasim and Sonam Kapoor getting their due . Neerja was the Best Film of 2016 for me so no surprise in getting the Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi . Pink was an amazing film and it is great to see getting the Award for Best Film on Social Issues . Zaira Wasim was spectacular in Dangal . Her performance was one of the strongest points in Dangal as Junior Geeta . Sonam Kapoor has done nothing extraordinary in her career except Neerja . I don’t have nothing to do with this award but. to be honest Akashya Kumar does not deserve national award for movie like rustom , so many other better performances are there in 2016. like Algraph Manoj , Nawaj in Ragwan , BIGB in pink , Amir dangal and even SRK in FAN . this kind of surprise for everyone and performances like Swadesh in SRK same with him in CHAK DE INDIA and Lagan in Amir didn’t get so it’s totally understand what is wrong . if actor like saif ali khan get in hum tum being jocker by her mum jury then any one can get . and akashya is showing fake desbhakti also originally he is in Canadian .

Lol….lots of funny comments… Though serious note Airlift was his last movie I watched ,yet to watch Rustam. But if you asked me if Airlift deserved a National Award I would say absolutely Yes.
I actually thought Aamir would’ve won it because I watched Dan gal and he was terrific along with the girls. Same goes to Salman and Shah Rukh khan for Bhajrangi Bhaijaan and My name is Khan respectivly still find it out to believe Amitabh Sir won it for PK.

@The unmatchable akki, but those festival made stars had given big grosser start from their career, In 90s they have films which crossed 2cr footfalls. Sorry but your non festive star who releases his films with a added holiday advantage in past years, chasing his own shadow RR (both on collection and footfalls) and regarding festivals, he got his shares as well but except Welcome all were underperformers or marginal success.
Regarding National award, forget other even you didn’t expected that Akki won for rustom, ab jhuth mat boliyo bachche.
The fact is even Akshay fans were not thinking about National award for akki but suddenly when he won, it became most deserving. Kya baat h.

ppl needs to understand when rustom was released it received mixed reviews but akshay’s performance was praised by everyone he really deserves this national best actor award. Only award which is left now is iifa and who knows he could win iifa best actor for airlift. To all haters where was all this debate when hrithik roshan won best actor for kaho naa pyaar hai? and dhoom 2? His performance was far better in lakshya but he was ignored. Even srk deserved an best actor award for rnbdj, koyla, and darr which he did not get. This kind of stuff happens all the time so no need to get hyper chill out ppl.
