Mumbai Police receives calls threatening to kill Salman Khan

A complaint has been booked at the Azad Maidan police station, after the Mumbai police room received two calls threatening to kill Bollywood superstar Salman Khan.

News channels report that the call was made on two occasions from Marine Drive and Kurar police station area, both the police station and the crime branch team is searching for the caller.

The Mumbai police control room received two anonymous calls within 15 hours, six days ago. Sources say, the police has managed to trace the phone number, but hasn’t been able to identify the person as the call was made from a public telephone.

“We received a call from the control room about the incident and were informed that it was a PCO number from Marine Drive area. The PCO is situated near a furniture shop. We had checked the CCTV footage situated in the same area but none of the CCTV covers the PCO so we could not trace the caller. We called Salman and asked whether he received any threat call but he said that he has not received any threat calls so far,” he added.

Control room officials said the caller, without revealing himself, threatened to kill Salman.

The police suspect that the caller was in an inebriated state as the staff from the control room claimed that he sounded drunk and he repeated his threat during the same call, “Salman Khan ko main goliyan maarunga” (I will shoot Salman Khan).
